Dasia Alize’ is the best nail tech I’ve ever had in all of my 72 years. She’s very professional, gentle and very creative. I will not have anyone else do my nails. She’s the greatest.

I have been a customer of Sonny and her family for 45 years. Could not ask for better or nicer people. The artwork is original and fantastic, nothing stock. Her family are real artist. Very clean and the prices are VERY reasonable. I would not have stayed if the service was anything other than excellent.

I used to go to this shop on occasion under the previous owners and even former location and it was great. When it moved to Jefferson, I reduced my patronage. I returned recently and acknowledge it’s under new ownership. It’s now black owned which is great in a city that’s over 83% African American. Now in my opinion and based on my encounter, the new owner needs to take one day and work the ladies though a rigorous training. Prices need to be understood by all, steps of a pedicure/manicure need to be followed consistently with something extra if possible, any towels with polish stains or dirt get rid of, if someone is just getting a polish on toes or hands and nail filing occurs spritz with water and wipe residue before polishing….I could go on. They have a good thing if they can tighten it up. The shop looks decent enough, but to attract and retain consumers, and be able to enhance, make corrections soon!! That way they’ll have money to repair chair massagers, hire security and more.

Now on a funny note, when the former owners debated prices, errors, or customer orders we couldn’t understand the language. Now that sistas are running the show, we hear everything, which means they need to learn how to be discreet so that we’re not caught in the debate.
So I may give them another chance soon. ✊

Before COVID, I liked them. Now that “appointments” (signing in and awaiting a call back), I don’t recommend them AT ALL. They do not answer their phone so you cannot make an appt without going there to sign in.

The older woman clearly has favorites who must not have to adhere to the sign- in policy. She once said it would be “HOURS” before my daughter and I would get a call back when there was only one person ahead of us. She was rude to my daughter when I sent her back after several hours to see if at least she could be served. When I went back by myself a week or so later, early in the morning, I got the same line and no callback at all.

When I first went there during COVID (earlier in 2021), the older woman was not present. I signed in, was told by the young, Asian woman that it would be a while, but was called back 5 minutes later. The young, black woman did my nails. No problem and she did a great job. That’s the only reason I tried again after the older Asian woman was rude to my daughter on my second visit. But no more. Asian Nails has lost 2 customers who live just 5 minutes away.
