I went from someone who never got their nails done to a loyal customer every 2-3 weeks! They continue to be awesome!

I asked for French tips and got white nails instead. During the soak off of my gel-x nails the nail tech caused 2 of my fingers to bleed cutting the cuticle and nearly went through the middle of another nail and I yelled ouch twice and had to yank my hand away. Clearly the tech did not know what French tips were because he was having a conversation with the owner (I assume) and they kept saying “French tips” so I assume he was trying to explain it to him. I paid $60 for these nails and they look like I painted them myself. I said French tips when I came in and multiple times throughout and they still ended up white. Now I’m going to have to go somewhere else to get these off and repainted. Very frustrating experience.

I came in to get my acrylics removed and got sat fairly quickly. All was going normal (dremeling off my old polish/ part of my nails, cutting them down, then soaking them in acetone).

Why she decided to do this on my other hand, I wouldn’t know but she started using another acrylic to get under my acrylics that were currently on my nails (if I knew I was going to be charged for this I would’ve just used some damn floss and home and popped them off my self smh.) ANYWAYS, I thought you weren’t supposed to do that because it’s damaging to your natural nail and gosh darn are people right. She quite literally starting RIPPING off my actual nail and I told her it hurt and she KEPT TRYING TO DO IT.

At the end I asked the owner/manager if that was normal and showed him my RIPPED NAIL and he just goes “there is different ways we take off, you could’ve said what you preferred and we could’ve done it that way” (i.e., soaking them off) and then still charged me. No apology, no nothing.

I’ve been here before and never had a problem. I’m not sure if it’s a new manager or what but the old owner used to do my nails and was amazing. This place sucks now.

Hi Sydney, I’m sorry about what happen. Our tech are supposed to soak off the nails not rip them off like that. When you came up to talk to me I didn’t have a chance to finish talking to you because I have to answer the phone. I was no going to charge you for that and was going to apologize for what happen to you.

My response: So are you going to refund me?

I just had a horrible experience at Serenity Nail and Spa on John’s Island. I went in to have my french gel nail polish redone. The man who was assigned to me took the old gel polish off. He was very rough with the instrument and hurt my cuticles. One finger has a cut from this and the others are tender and sore. He then began the gel process. The french white kept clumping up on the nails. He redid them twice and they were still horrible looking. The manager was called over and I showed him the cut. He said only one finger? Mistakes do happen. I then showed him the messy gel polish job and he said he would do it over himself. The whole time this man had been struggling with my nails the manager had been playing on his phone. Not once did he notice the awful job that was being done. No apology for the awful experience or the cut. He could have cared less. After one hour and 20 minutes i could not take anymore. I told him to remove the polish and I left. This should have been a relaxing experience resulting in beautiful nails. I left with ugly nails, white gel polish on my hands, and a cut that must now heal. I will never trust this salon again.

I went here for the first time to get a dip manicure here and they were wonderful. Lucy was my nail technician and she was excellent! She was very detailed and followed what I asked for. I will be going back to get my nails done with them again!
