**UPDATED**Horrible experience! The gentleman put two THICK coats of polish on my nails without giving them sufficient time to dry and then applied a thick top coat. I went to the drying table and, thanks to a clock right in front of me, sat for 30 minutes waiting for my nails to dry. After that time I asked Vi if she had some drying spray. She said “no”, felt my nails and said I was good to go. I picked up a few things from Walmart and noticed that 3 of my nails had places in them now despite being super careful. (And 30 minutes of dry time) I went back and asked if they could be fixed. Vi stood over me as she put acetone on her fingers and rubbed away the bag spots. She then put yet another THICK coat of polish on and immediately followed it with a top coat with no time to dry in between. Again to the dryer. After 10 minutes I noticed that there were brush strokes in my polish and the new coat doesn’t cover the edges of the former coats. I asked her to come over and showed her the problem. By this time I was pretty done with this whole nail salon. I asked for my $14 to be refunded so I could go somewhere else. I was given a hard “NO.” She offered to take off the polish and reapply and “take her time” this time. Quote is her’s, not mine. I told her that I would rather just have my money back so I could go somewhere else. She then called over the guy that originally painted them and told him I was complaining. I asked him again for my money back. No! She then proceeded to start recording me asking for a refund. I asked if she was recording me, told her that she did NOT have my permission to do so and then asked if they were owned by a parent company. She said no. (They are, in fact. They are a franchise of the Regal Nails umbrella company.) She started recording me again and asked for a picture of my nails. I told her no this time and stated again that she did not have my permission to record me. I informed her that I would be talking to authorities about the illegal recording and she said “You don’t have any proof.” She offered a refund AFTER she got a picture. I asked for my money first and she refused again. I called the parent company and I was told that they don’t handle refunds and I would have to wait for their Vietnamese translator to call the shop and call me back. Horrible experience. Needless to say, I will not be back and I hope that anyone reading this avoids the same kind of hassle I had.
Update. After talking to the home office of the parent company and also sending pictures of my nails, Vi and Tony still refuse to grant my refund. Their claim is that they fixed them once and that’s good enough. As you can see in the pictures, it really isn’t. Please, please avoid at all cost!!
