I finally found a nail salon which provides quality, efficiency and are thorough. They care about the frailness and health of your nails too!!! Other salons want you in and out and their work shows it. The owners Teddy and Ang are lovely. I recommend calling to make an appointment. Also, show a local business some support and don’t buy the groupon…the shop offers the same amount as groupon but groupon takes 70% of their earnings. It’s only fair, the salon is doing all the work right?! $25 for a gel manicure, $5 extra to take off gel. It’s a win win situation! As a reoccurring customer, I recommend you give them a try!

I have never been so disappointed in a business. I had an appointment for over 2 months for a very important event. They texted me 1 hour before my appointment and said they were running behind and needed to push it back 15 minutes. I said fine, drove 30 minutes across town and arrived 4 minutes late, staying in communication with them to let them know. I arrived and they texted me I would need to reschedule. I immediately called, they hung up. I called again and they said they couldn’t help me since I was outside the 10 minute window (only because they pushed it back 15 minutes). I literally begged and told them this appointment was so important to me, and what is 4 minutes? They said they wouldn’t help me and I would have to reschedule. And having already paid for the service online, they refused to give me a refund themselves. I would rather buy $5 press-ons from Walmart than ever make another appointment at Nails at the Lakes.

In response to the reply from the owner,
I feel offended to be called a liar, when I truthfully explained what happened and you want to save your reputation. I will provide more details for the good people of Google to judge for themselves. You said that you didn’t text me an hour before my appointment, but rather an hour 24 minutes before. I have the text on my phone at 9:48, which is 1 hour 12 minutes before, forgive me for rounding down 12 minutes. I also have a text from that same number discussing the 10 minute window, which you denied. “We have a 10 minute window.” (5/24/21 6:33pm) I guess you should clarify that that window only applies to the original appointment time and even though you were the one who initially pushed the appointment time back, that 10 minute window goes away. And when I say I begged and said what is 4 minutes, I am referring to my texts, “please let me keep my appointment!” and “Oh I’ve had this appointment for over 2 months and I have an event this weekend! I’m just a few minutes away, please?? It’s very important to me!” (5/25/21 11:17am) And on the phone after arriving 4 minutes late saying “I am here now, what’s 4 minutes! Does it really make that much of a difference? Please, I drove 30 minutes to get here.” I would consider that begging, but still, I was told no. Since I already paid through Groupon, I asked if I could be refunded since I certainly wasn’t coming back. You said “you’ll have to take it up with Groupon, we won’t give you any money back.” First of all, that is you refusing to give me a refund from you yourself, which is verbatim what I said in my review, not a lie. Secondly, you conveniently denied me a few days outside of the refund window through Groupon, so no, I still don’t get a refund. But thank you for ending on a very unprofessional note by saying “Happy Glueing.” It speaks to your level of customer service. 🙂

Angie is amazing! I got the Luxurious Nail package at such a great price and it included so much!! I drove 30 minutes away from my usual nail place and I am so glad that I did. I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely be back!
