I had a mani and padi appointment with Brenna this morning. This was my second appointment with her. The first appointment in 2022 with her went well, so I decided to go back. I scheduled over online sometime before the Valentine’s Day, but she mentioned that her car got broke so she can do weekend only. So I rescheduled for Feb 24th. Then in the morning of Feb 24th, she said she had caugh and congestion and don’t want to spread so she cancelled that appointment. I was bummed for waiting for so long but decided to extent my empathy and scheduled an appointment for March 2nd (today). When doing manicure, she trimming my cuticle of my left thumbnail too much to that extent that I started to bleed and I was in so much pain. She didn’t even seem sorry. Anyway at that point I had just waited so long to had my mani and pedi that I decided to discontinue the rest of the spa manicure I scheduled for but went with the spa pedicure appointment. She did pedi well but I was in so much pain and pissed off that it wasn’t enjoyable at all. This was the worst manicure and pedicure experience I ever had. She didn’t charge for mani. The charge was $60 for the pedi and I even paid $6 tips. The facility didn’t have any firstaid so I asked my husband to bring ointment and bandaid. Bottomline, I am not going back to her.

Let me start by saying everyone there is really nice. However, the manicure I received was definitely not worth what I paid for. I didn’t really notice in the moment, but now looking at them the next day, the polish doesn’t go over my whole nail on the sides and towards the cuticle.
My pedicure looks fine but I really regret paying as much as I did for the manicure.
Some of the nails are really patchy too.. like it’s not an even layer. It’s too hard to get a photo of it though.

This was my first time ever getting acrylics, and Brenna did the most fantastic job on my nails! They turned out so beautiful, I couldn’t be more happy with them!! Plus she was very kind, gentle with my nail beds, and took her time doing shaping and application, which I so appreciated. I also loved the shop atmosphere, it was fun, clean and overall a comfortable place to be. Can’t wait to get my fill done, thank you Brenna!!

Brenna Carlson did an amazing job on my full set of nails and my pedicure. I had her add flame to my big toes to match my French tip manicure. It looks amazing. I won’t go to anyone else.
I loved the atmosphere and decor of My Storybook Nails. It provided the calm and relaxed setting that I was looking for. I will be back frequently.
