Customer Says:
First, I booked online and reserved with my credit card. I didn’t have to wait too long to get called back (maybe 5-8 minutes, so not a big deal).
However, there was an immediate problem in the waiting room- they had a dog (belonged to one of the workers) running around and coming up to guests. I’m extremely allergic to dogs, so I tried to keep my distance, but not something you expect to see in a nail salon. I thought they employee was leaving or maybe just came in to show her coworkers her new puppy… No. The dog stayed and I saw it EVERYWHERE. Sniffing and touching things that should be sanitary. That’s gross.
Next thing, my nail tech did a terrible job. She didn’t even attempt to shape my cuticles, only put on 1 layer of nail polish and a thin layer of top coat, and didn’t even go to the edges. I tried saying something, but she blew me off and took me to the dryers.
On to the next thing.
I made it clear I had never been here before, so I don’t know how things work there. She sat me at the dryer, said, “Sit here” and left. I sat there for thirty minutes!!! I finally asked another nail tech how long I was supposed to be sitting there, and she said 10 minutes. I saw my tech at the front looking at me, but she never came and got me or told me how long to sit there, so I assumed she was coming back for me. Wrong.
Finally, when I went up to pay- it was more than what was quoted online. There was a sign on the desk that said everything went up $5.00, but that should be reflected online. You shouldn’t have people put in their card, quote them the price, and then say, “Surprise! Now it’s more.”
Disclaimers: I have no idea if that dog is in there all the time or not. However, that’s not sanitary and some people are highly allergic to dogs.
I mentioned to my nail tech early on that my work does not allow painted nails or long nails, so I was only getting an acrylic set for an event a six days away. That was probably why she rushed and didn’t care about doing a good job. So, if you plan on only going in there once, I don’t recommend telling your tech that.
Also, I did ask about the price change at the counter and tried to fight it (because I booked online, put my credit card online, and was quoted the price online), but they weren’t having it.
I left a 20% tip because I never don’t tip, but there’s no way I would go back. Oh, and my nails looked so bad that the bride (I’m in her wedding) demanded I get them redone. So, I paid $60.00 (with tip) to get my nails painted and then four days later had to go to another salon and pay to have them redone.
If you look at my other reviews, you can see I’m fairly kind with my stars. But I can’t give this place more than one. This was my personal experience, and maybe someone else will have better luck.
