I’ve been a customer for over 2 years and recently started getting builder gel as a nail enhancement. Max did a killer job with my last set! The shape and color is perfect and my cuticles are so healthy too. My last set lasted 3 weeks and I can’t wait to have this set for the holidays. Love the chrome. Highly recommend!

I really wanted to like this place. The first time I came I got a dip manicure with tip and had no issues. I came back a second time for the same service and they did my nails so thin that every single one cracked in the middle within the first 5 days, which was extremely painful. Everyone knows a dip manicure should last 2-3 weeks without breakage. I did go in to get a fresh set and they were very nice and understanding and did not charge me which I appreciated and I felt as if they handled it very well. I have now had this new set of dip nails on for less than 2 weeks and have already been back once to get a broken nail fixed. The guy who fixed my nail asked me what shape I wanted, which was quite clearly square to match my other fingers, and kept asking me how many layers of dip I wanted. Clearly they are unknowledgeable about the work they do because I have never been asked that by a nail tech and I found it strange and unprofessional. Now another one of my nails have broken off, mind you I was not doing anything unusual or rough on my hands during any of my breakages. I am paying $70 for a manicure that isn’t even lasting 2 weeks and I find that unacceptable. I have now been to the nail salon 3 times in the past 3 weeks. I now have to go somewhere else and pay for another manicure because my nail is broken but I refuse to come back here. It seems the quality of their products are poor.

After reading reviews and the high rating, I thought I would try it.

Elderly lady did my gel manicure, it was super rushed and after the filing, my nails are super fragile now which they’ve never been before. Also, she missed some crucial spots on the side of the nail which now after a week are starting to get stuck in things.

I think I would’ve been happier if I had ended up with a different staff member, but will not go back.

Really rushed experience, and it shows.

Booked 2 gel manis (1 with gel removal) and we were in and out in under 40 minutes. The removal was so abrasive with no soaking at all — just aggressive drilling and filing that still left some of the old polish on the nail. I’ve always had my gel nails nails soaked off, and they felt so worn down from the filing that I switched to a regular mani. The technician was visibly upset by my decision to change to regular.

Cuticles were left bleeding and with polish on the sides. The edges feel sharp as well. My friend who did gel had strange indentations/wrinkled air bubbles just a few hours later.

Perhaps technician dependent, but a really poor quality experience – they offer a discount for those who leave a review which is likely the reason for the overall high rating.

Absolutely love Dluxe! Max’s attention to detail is impeccable and I always leave the salon very pleased with my manicure. Max does an excellent job with all manicure types, especially builder gel which has been great to maintain the health of my nails!! Next time you’re in the city, definitely book an appt with max!
