Tried acrylics for the first time and I think they did an amazing job. Took about an hour and a half, cost $58. They paid a lot of attention to detail and worked very carefully and skillfully. Definitely would recommend this place to a friend!

I went to California Nails on Sunday they did a terrible job on my nails and toes. I spent 133.00$ just on service plus 40.00$ on tips. My toes didn’t get cleaned up with a #3 pedicure $55 paint was uneven and sloppy. Nails the lady I asked her several times to make them square with round edges. The shape is wrong and the tip is too big I had to go home and file them down to try and slim them down. The acrylic is uneven and lumpy. I would suggest never use California Nails in Merle hay Mall!!

Important update: They used MAA! I did not know this was used on me and why it’s not good because of all the effects it can have. They should be EMA instead. Don’t come to this place and waste your time or money, go somewhere else.

I went to get an acrylic full set done and had an appointment scheduled at 5:30 and got there at 5:20. They attended two other people before me who both seemed to be walk in’s. The lady who did my nails seemed to be struggling more and was a little harsh when it came to drilling and filing. She ended up cutting me 3 times total but 2 of them aren’t noticeable on camera. The nails aren’t horrible but for the price of $70 it was not worth it. I had to ask for a second coat of pink because there was little coverage the first time and in the end some other lady was the one to do the French tips. The reviews of them being unsanitary is true, she used two different nail files on me which she pulled out of a drawer and the drills they used would only be dusted off and then put back in their place. There was good pictures on there social media and alright reviews and it can be that the person I got for my service wasn’t fit for it but overall I won’t be recommending nor returning to this place.

Nice clean salon! Always come here to get my Gel X nails done. Just got another nails set and it beautiful, thin layer and very detail!
Update after 1 month coming back: They are still very nice! Love them!
