BKS nails is the only place I’ll go in KC!! My nails look so much better and last longer than anywhere else. Kelly talked me into trying dip for the first time and I’ll never do anything different! She keeps them looking neat and elegant, and I love that they don’t look too “puffy” like I was worried dip nails might. The entire salon is clean, friendly, and efficient. Fair pricing and I never struggle to get a same day appointment! Always leave very satisfied from BKS nails!

Excellent place! Amazing customer service, nails turned out exactly the way we wanted them. Didn’t have to wait at all. Lisa was really kind to my daughter and she did a great job! Highly recommend.

I had several decent manicures here, however, after my last experience, I will not go back. I asked for acrylic tips with dip. The male tech who did my nails appeared confused throughout the hour long tortuous “manicure,” looking from polish to polish unsure of which to use when for what. I don’t complain and let people do their jobs, so I just continued watching this messy application. This resulted in a thick cement-like hardened layer on top of my nails & gooped over the nail beds onto my skin, which he then proceeded to attempt to file with a manual nail file for nearly 30 minutes to no avail. This filing fiasco left several of my fingers bloody. Very likely due to the incorrect order of polish/dip application, the nails remained sticky, so when I went to check out, several nails were smudged. I showed the owner saying that my nails were messed up & needed to be fixed. I then explained to the tech that the nails had not dried for some reason and asked him to fix the smudges. Instead of checking her employee’s work product, the owner walked over to the station, and passively aggressively threw my change down on the table! Post-manicure was even worse — it took a very painful breaking off of each thick nail cover to get this cement gloop off. It left deep ridges in each of my nails, which I’ve never seen before. I have always had strong nails, even with acrylic, and they are like paper now after months with just regular polish. I have never left a negative review for any business, but because my nails have still not recovered months later, it’s important that this business understand that you cannot apply plastics & chemicals to people’s nails & skin without some training. These employees need to be trained or fired, not left to experiment on paying customers’ fingers. Two stars because I did go several times before this with decent results.

You never know if it will be a good experience or bad. There is one woman that is always rude and rushes. Last time my husband and I went we got the exact same pedicure, but my husband’s took 10 minutes longer because he got everything he was supposed to. I had a man who applied scrub to my legs, scrubbed, then added lotion to it without rinsing the scrub. No hot towels. My husband got them. Just inconsistent.

I have been a satisfied customer for years, but was super impressed when I lost part of a toe nail and Kelly immediately came to my rescue. The staff is pleasant and one commented that Kelly is a great boss. I highly recommend BKS Nails!
