Best Nails & Spa in Portland

Just tried this place out for my best friends birthday. Wanted to treat us to a relaxing time so I made an appointment. Wanted a gel mani pedi. There was one really nice woman and she said her friend would be along shortly. Water was cold but upon request she fixed that. She did both our pedis but handed me off to her friend guy.
He started out ok but I had to ask him to clean the station which was half dirty which is not code or sanitary and he just wiped half of it down and put drill tips in a dirty cup. Then he used the wrong gel color and had to take off what he did. People were calling and coming in and he got frustrated and crudely took it off with dirty nail drill tip and left pieces of the incorrect color on the nail bed clearly not clean and chunky. I clearly see the base was gone as well.He just put the right color over. So I had to stop him and tell him I understand maybe you’re in a hurry but you need to do this right.
He got a little weird and argued it was fine and I told him it wasn’t. I came for a manicure not a dried polish change. So he sort of fixed it but still chunks and now nail dust everywhere from drill. Re based and polish but because the nail bed wasn’t totally clean he had to use cuticle clippers to cut out chunks. So unprofessional.
I asked him if he was still doing the holo color on top and he ignored me so I asked a few times and he said later. So I waited patiently until he was done and he did do the powder but then he tried to massage oil and lotion into my arm that had dust and chunks of old gel in it. I asked to wash my hands and he said later. I was grossed out by this point and stopped him and washed my hands and told him I don’t need a massage. My poor friend had him next and he didn’t clean the station again and went really fast and her nails are lumpy and gel on her skin. I have some on mine too. Not relaxing or clean. Not worth spending over $200+.
I hate feeling more stressed after you’re supposed to do something relaxing.

Absolutely love the holographic nails I received from Lee! They remind me of green June bugs! + gold and silver moon and stars! Very kind staff. Got a exactly what I asked for. Highly recommended checking this nail location out! 🙂

This place sucks! 1 star is too much of a rating. I called ahead & asked for pricing & they gave me a different price than what they stated over the phone. I got a white gel pedicure & it came out so patchy & she polished over dust. Seriously one of the worst pedicures I’ve ever gotten!!

Just like everyone else. I’ve tried a lot of the local shops in the area and in the city in general. This one takes the cake hands down. Lee my nail tech was an expert in his field with over 20 years experience, I got the best nail care I’ve ever received especially as a male Patron.

Many shops try to take advantage of the customers lack of knowledge and overcharge. Lee and Holly made sure everyone knew about the differences in paint types and was happy to answer mine and the other customers questions.

The customers in the salon were quick to speak up singing the praise of this shop and I too will join them. My nails look amazing! The cost was perfect and it took no time at all. Thanks Lee and Holly! See you again soon!

Lee is amazing! Extremely detailed in his work with loads of experience under his belt and will make sure you leave happy with your nails! I usually just show him a picture of what I want for my nails and he has always nailed it. (Pun intended) I’ve been going to Best Nails and Spa for two years now and have always left happy whether it be beautiful nails or a relaxing pedicure. This mom and pop run salon is who we should be supporting in these unprecedented times because they’re the ones who truly care about you and take pride in the services they provide for you. For reasons such as fair prices, courteous service and overall lovely people Best Nails and Spa will always be my go to salon.
