I went to May 1st Nail Spa today. I was a bit nervous because they don’t have a website, but I recently moved the area and saw the positive reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. The whole experience was great. They’re still very conscious of COVID precautions with cleaning and masking. The quality of my manicure and pedicure was good and very affordably priced compared to other places around Wicker Park. I got exactly what I wanted and had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. I’ll definitely be going back. Just for reference, I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Also, they are still requiring masking, so be prepared.

Could not recommend more! My go to nail salon for gel and regular polish due to reasonable prices, fast service, and great Netflix shows that are on while you’re getting services done. 🙂

Found this place about a year ago! Still my favorite nail place! My no chip mani’s always last! The ladies are so nice and if you have a special request for ombré nails or different color French tip they are always willing to accommodate! Prices are reasonable and they are so nice! I love my nude French mani! 🥰🤩

I dreaded moving to a new neighborhood because that’d mean I’d have to give up my loyalties for my old nail salon. It’s just one of those things, if you find one you like, that’s the one you stick with. I never thought I’d find a new place until I tried May 1st and now I’m happy to say May 1st is my place.
I tried out a few spots in the West Town / Wicker before I found this one. No other salon in the area matches the value + quality. The space is nice and the people are nice. They do a good no chip!
