Simply Strella
This used to be my go to nail shop but my last time there will be my last time there ever. See the pictures for the explanation, they speak for themselves. I asked for a design previous to them beginning to work on my nails and they assured me that they could do them. These were my birthday nails. We got done and they looked terrible. The only reason I let him continue on while in the process was because I held out hope that he would do something to make them look like the actual design. I was very very wrong. Would never go back.

I hate writing bad reviews, I contacted the salon directly the same night as my service. It’s been over two weeks
I wanted a regular manicure, the first polish had lumps in it, when I asked if I could please try a different polish she told me I was wrong and there weren’t lumps (the lady next to me stood up for me and said it’s sticky and lumpy) she picked out a new color, rushed through and my manicure looked awful
I was not comfortable asking for a bother fix especially with the tech standing over me. Total bummer not going back.

I’ve been twice. Service was great the first time. The color options are dated and they won’t ask you to pick another color when they’ve run out, despite having a visible tally of the colors they don’t have. I can’t recommend designs here; they don’t reference reservation details and seem inconvenienced in providing the service.

I came to 312 Nails after going to a few different salons for trials of my wedding nails. It was recommended by one of my friends, and I’m so glad she told me about it! Tom did my nails (dip with acrylic tips) for both my engagement photos and my wedding, and they looked absolutely perfect. He is incredibly detail-oriented and efficient, and he even helped me find the perfect color based on an inspiration photo. Everyone at the salon is warm and kind, and the salon itself is very nice and clean. I highly recommend 312 Nails!

My go-to nail salon in River North that I’ve been going to every 3-4 weeks for over a year recently changed ownership and the vibes were not the same. I had been thinking of trying a new place and I walk past 312 Nails all the time.

I gave them a call at 10:15am on a Saturday and asked for an 11am appt for a gel manicure. I showed up 5 min early and was greeted and instructed to check in on the iPad and pick my nail color out. I was seated right at 11am.

I noticed right away that every seat in the entire place was filled. It was also very clean and organized with an endless selection of colors from OPI and DND. My nail tech and I didn’t really chat beyond me answering questions about what I wanted (which was perfect for me), but I got to then listen to the conversations happening around me. Customers greeted by name and sentiments left and right about how happy customers were with their finished nails. And to top off a great experience, the pricing was reasonable as well. I’m 5’11” and the chairs were comfortable (no arm rests – could definitely accommodate a plus size person) and the height of the counters was tall enough so that I didn’t have to hunch over.

I only booked a manicure to check the place out, but I’ll be back soon for a pedicure and my next manicure.
