Woodhouse Spa – St. Petersburg

Had a wonderful experience and massage. My friend and I plan an annual birthday Spa day at the Woodhouse. They serve Prosecco or tea in the relaxing waiting spa area. So relaxing and cozy. It would be great if they could include a red light sauna which has so many health and anti aging benefits. I think other Woodhouse Spas throughout the country have upgraded to some newer technology in their spas. It would be nice to see this at the St Pete location.

I had a facial and my husband had a massage. Two basic services, we enjoyed our time. The spa is as you see it, clean and nice. Services were good but basic. I will say the prices are insane, and that’s okay because you expect that going to woodhouse if you’ve done your research. I went to check out and my total was $286 for basic facial and basic massage under an hour each. To me that is so expensive so respectfully I just couldn’t really afford a tip. So when I was checking out I pushed on the kiosk no tip. The front desk lady didn’t saying anything and I said thank you and turned around and waited for my husband. Two mins later when he came out we were pushing the door open to leave and the same front desk lady said “ Do you guys wanna leave a gratuity?” I said “no we are good. Thank you.” I just thought it was rude for her to call me out like that. I just paid $300 for services, if you want your employees to make more money, pay them more. Stop making the customer feel bad, we are paying these insane prices and then on top of that we need to pay the employees salary? It’s ridiculous this tipping culture in America. It’s not fair, these companies know that we will just tip, and honestly I can’t afford it anymore. $300 for under an hour each is more than Enough for the services. Service was good but it’s the fact that I shouldn’t feel bad to having to pay so much extra for a tip when it’s already over priced and the front desk women needs to learn not to be calling out people like that. We definitely won’t be back, there are hundreds of spas for more reasonable prices just as nice.!

The spa experience itself is very nice. I dropped a couple of stars for 2 reasons: 1. There was no conditioner in the shower, and i like to wash my hair after a massage. 2. I intended to purchase a gift card for $400 because they were running a special for an additional $75 gift card. I spoke to the front desk ahead of my appointment, and confirmed they were still selling the gift card special, noting that i would purchase the card when i arrived. However, it was never mentioned to me that the gift card was not able to be used the same day. I was extremely frustrated that there was no resolution for this, even though i was spending well over $500 for our treatments.

Second time here-Good masseuses, but not as many amenities available as most luxury spas. They need a steam room and sauna. 1 shower in bathroom. Not much space to get ready for rest of day without feeling like you’re in the way. Do not request firm if you cannot handle it 😂 my body balance felt more like a sports massage and was very painful. Even after asking for less pressure & saying ouch multiple times with Ashley N.

This is my second visit for a massage at The Woodhouse Day Spa in St. Pete and it fantastically exceeded my high expectations.

I had an 80-minute Swedish massage with Lisa N, who is an experienced, intuitive and talented massage therapist. Lisa’s positive energy and gentle demeanor made the massage even more amazing – I loved every second of it.

The Spa is lovely, very clean and managed by a professional and friendly staff.

I look forward to returning to Woodhouse on my next visit to visit to “The Sunshine City”.
