I first came to VooDoo after having my hair completely destroyed by a stylist at different salon. Caitlin saved my hair before my first day at a new job and I’ve been seeing her ever since! For the last 2ish years that she’s been doing my hair & I always leave feeling like the best version of myself. When I change up the style she always executes my vision to perfection!! Always had great experiences in the past at this salon.

Today, I showed up a few minutes early for my appointment. I was told my stylist was running 20 minutes behind – I was a bit irked as I had left work early to be on time and wasn’t told in advance of the delay, but I agreed to wait. At 30 minutes past my appointment time with no sign of my stylist, I left due to another commitment that I could not be late to.

I got a call from the salon director later and was offered a lot of excuses (the person before probably booked the wrong service!) and a free conditioning treatment for my next visit. Conditioner doesn’t really make up for for wasting over an hour of my time, especially given that if I had flaked on them they would have surely charged me the $100 cancellation fee.

Lucky for Voodoo, they appear to be extremely busy so they don’t need my business.

I always put off haircuts because I have facial deformities from past health crises that make it really hard to face myself in the mirror, but I had been told this salon was very inclusive and thought I’d feel comfortable. That was absolutely correct. Devan was a wonderful stylist who understood my discomfort and had an opinion on what style would work.. which I definitely needed because I am so avoidant! The front desk staff was so considerate when scheduling me. I already made a follow up appointment.

So so happy!! I’ve never had a curly cut before and I get very protective and nervous about my hair, but Kimberly really helped me transform my curls and I don’t think I’ve ever been so in love with my hair, ever. I feel like a new lady and my curls feel so loved. If you’re curly, do yourself a service and see Kimberly, she’s an angel with amazing care and skill! 💕

Rigpa is awesome. She has given me the best cuts for my curly hair that make my curls look awesome with minimal effort, and taught me how to style them! I recommend her to anyone and everyone, especially if you have curly hair.
