So this is my second time actually having this experience. The technician both times was a very sweet but inexperienced 19-yr-old boy. I told the owner the first time that the boy needed more practice and skill before charging for pedicures. The first time a more experienced technician was sent over (I was letting those around me know subtly that I needed help) and removed the remainder of the dead skin and then my nails were painted. Today, when I saw they were assigning the same young boy I thought “give him a chance” but I quickly learned I had misjudged. Horrible pedicure from buffing nails first then barely even touching cuticles with the nipper, cutting nails at an angle, to missing steps and performing steps in the wrong order (massaging and then putting feet back in cold water). As you can see dead skin was left behind and I didn’t have time for a second person to fix things. I also didn’t want polish on dead toenail skin so I politely paid and left. I even tipped the guy for his lazy pedicure even though he tried to cry and say he was having a bad day. I sympathize with people but wanted to ask if he was having a bad day last time too. I didn’t. As the sweet old lady took my money, I was told he’s new again and I said “the same thing happened like 2-3 months ago the last time I was here”. Their solution was not “he will get more training and practice”, it was, “oh no! tell them to give you a woman next time”.

This makes me sad to write this review and I very rarely write reviews. I grew up here and have been going here since I was little. This was my go to when I lived close and have since moved farther away making my visits less frequent. I was in town and wanted to go back. Sadly, the quality of work has drastically declined and don’t think I will ever be back. I came back after another previously poor experience hoping it was a one time thing. Previous visit, the woman was on the phone with air pods on the entire time and the quality of work reflected someone who didn’t care to be there. This time I was passed around by 3 people for my nails and I feel like they looked better before I came in then when I left. I’ve spent about 10+ minutes scraping excess polish from around my cuticles and under my nails. Skin appears stained as well. Nails were barely filed and are snagging on my clothes. I’ll need to go home and file them to prevent damage. 🙁

Went with a small group & pretty disappointed. Spa has a pleasant atmosphere, but that’s about it. My technician gave me my manicure standing up(!) while I was in a pedicure chair with my group. Fastest manicure of my life – she was done in about 10 min, no base coat, barely any shaping or filing, messy polish. Went away without putting the top coat on, then came back & did it about 20 min later. I understand that she wanted to quickly do mine so she could move on to one of our pedicures, but I would rather not get the mani then get one that’s equal to what I can do myself.

Only reason I gave 3 stars is that the pedicures seemed ok & nobody was rude or anything. Basically, ask for Hannah or someone specific that you trust if you come. Otherwise it’s a total mixed bag. I won’t chance it. :/

I’d leave a 0/5 if I could. Got dip done on a Monday and my thumb nail cracked three days later. Went in to get it fixed and they had me leave looking like it does in the first photo. I went back after consulting with a few of my friends and them agreeing that it looked terrible. I demanded a refund and they said they do not give refunds. Apparently they also do not give good quality service. They “fixed” my nail with a color match from hell (photo 2).

I will never go back. Can’t say enough bad things about the service I received. Save yourself a trip and do not go to Venetian Nail Spa.

EDIT: Per the salon’s response: you can’t see the crack in my thumb nail since you had just not once, but twice put more dip OVER the CRACK. Which again, this crack happened two days into having these nails done. Photo 3 now attached shows the same thumb nail ONE WEEK after my initial appointment. Crack showing through the poor dip job done over it in attempt to fix it.

It is evident that Venetian Nails & Spa has no intention of offering a quality service.

I’m also thoroughly disappointed with their response of how I should have “notified a manager” as if that is my job as a clearly dissatisfied customer. They should offer to get a manager themselves. They should offer a full or partial refund. Instead, I’m left leaving with poorly done nails and a mission to leave the most negative response I can create.

My daughter and I were in the Green Hills area and decided to give Venetian Nail Salon a try. She got a full set of gel nails for her homecoming weekend. I decided upon a gel re polish for my toes. The workmanship of my daughters nails was poor. The nail tech rushed through her appointment and several nails were crooked. The gel was also extremely thick. We don’t live in the Green Hills area so returning to get them fixed was not an option. We are now at another nail salon to get her nails corrected. It is now costing us additional money. We will not be returning. I’m sure there are other nail techs who do quality work at the salon. Unfortunately, she did not get quality.
