I saw Alisha and have a few comments that might be helpful. If you don’t want to read a long review, just note that I would not recommend her. She was late, rude at times, and unprofessional. When my appointment started 10 mins late, she said over and over again how she “can’t believe I went out in public with my hair the way it is” and how “orange, not even gold” it was. I cried while she mixed up my color because she just kept laying it on. She did apologize, but after she saw tears in my eyes. The appointment itself ran from 2 to 7 pm. I thought this was insane. Throughout my time with her she bragged about being a bad driver, complained about some other women that work at the salon, and continued to make comments about how bad my blonde was before. She also dripped toner on the chair and my shirt as she had me sit up at the bowl while she toned, which left the bottom of my hair not toned at all. She also mentioned that the color she mixed up for the lowlights processed too long as it took over 2 hours to put in the foils, so it would tone instead of act as a dye, so I don’t know why I paid for it as a hair dye. To top it off, when I saw it in natural lighting the next day it was so overtoned and much much lighter than my inspo pic. I had gray, yellow blonde and green/gold throughout. I texted her to try to schedule a time for me to come back, but she took hours to respond and by then I went to Sally’s and fixed it myself. I didn’t have another 5 hrs to sit in her chair. I wasn’t going to leave a review but I have been stewing for a few days since this happened. Also, the other stylists never smiled at me the whole time I was there. Not sure if they were judging me because I was Alisha’s client or because they were also not very polite. The owner is the only one that demonstrated niceness and professionalism while I was there. Here are photos of my inspo and my after. She is def the type that will do what she thinks is best rather than do what you wanted. Also, if you get your hair cut by her I would check before you leave. I had to hold up my hair in a pony tail for her to see she didn’t cut my face framing pieces at all. All in all, I guess she got me started on where I wanted to end up but on top of the 250 plus tip I paid her, I had to spend $70 and 2 hours at home to finish the product.

This was my second time seeing Elaine for a perm and both times I was heavily overcharged for the service I got. I left with my hair more curly than when I went in and it wasn’t burned, which I feel is the bare minimum for getting a perm done.
At my first visit she treated my hair and shaped my undercut, which she billed as a women’s haircut, and charged me $125 for the whole visit; $85 for the perm and $40 for the “haircut”.
This time I made it very clear that I just wanted a perm. No trimming, no shaping my undercut, no styling at the end of the visit (since I’d walked out looking awful last time). She manually entered a $120 charge for just a perm, and I left the salon looking like I’d been through a tornado.
She does not know how to deal with curly hair, and immediately SHAMPOOED my hair after putting in the neutralizer. For anyone who hasn’t watched Legally Blonde, this is the number one rule of getting a perm: Don’t wash your hair for at least 24 hours. I would think someone who does hair for a living would at least have heard about that before. I will not be back to see Elaine.

Alisha is AMAZING!! She is super dedicated to her clients and willing to take the time it takes to have a proper job done and more. I went in last minute for full fashion color on my looong hair. She was very up front about the cost and the time it would take. She went above and beyond to have me come back to have her curl it before our family photos. She had a great balance of chatting and letting me just enjoy the process. I was very uncertain what I wanted done and told her what I didn’t want and allowed her to take the reigns and let the creative juices flow and the end result was more than I could have dreamed it to be.

Alisha Stephenson is the best stylist I’ve been to! I had grown out highlights and she did such a great job blending the color into my roots. She does a beautiful job and it is always such a pleasure to see her!

The hair stylist I go to every time is Alisha and she is one of the people I have ever met. Not to mention she does a FABULOUS at doing my hair. She’s priced very fairly and always makes sure that I leave loving my hair( which I always do.)
