Warning, I believe ownership has change and the positive reviews are not for the same salon.

I really wanted to like this place. I came in and was seated promptly and had dip on. Was planning on getting dip again. I have been getting my nails done for 4+ years, and this has never happened. I kept telling the nail tech the drill was too hot multiple times as she took off the dip. Usually you take the top coat off and let the acetone do most of the work. She drilled my nails so far down that two were actually red and sore. She blamed me and said my nails were weak (which I never have heard before) and she convinced me to do gel to let my nails breathe. I did it, which is fine, if she did a good job. I walked out with my nails hurting and ragged and snagging gel nails.

I called the next day to get them fixed, and Jessie helped me and she was wonderful, but she could physically not get the gel polish off my nails. Acetone would not work. They had to drill every last layer off my nails, and she even said “what the heck did she do.”

Jessie then said how about we just do the dip you wanted in the first place, which was fine. I wanted to be done and it had taken and hour to get it off. She was halfway through my right hand, and then said that I was going to be charged the difference between the gel and the dip. I was stunned. After this experience and being calm, kind, and giving the original girl the benefit of the doubt, PLUS a 20% tip, I could not believe after my experience they were changing me the difference. If I knew that I would have just gotten the gel done properly. Jessie did do a very good job on the dip, but I will not be going back. Making it right, wasn’t really making it right. After two visits and nearly 3 hours of my time total, and paying the difference on the service after it began is ridiculous.

I relocated to Charlotte from NJ. In NJ I was a customer of a particular Nail Spa for 25 years so to move away and try to find a nail salon/spa that would compare was indeed a task. I’m very hard to please when it comes to my feet and hands. I went to 3 nail salons before I found my new home. Uptown Nail Bar you have set the BAR for other nail salons in the area. Not only was I SATISFIED with they’re professional and amazing service. The owner and his staff were very friendly and accommodating. My nail techs name is BeBe. She is absolutely phenomenal! I now found my new home here in Charlotte. I was most impressed with the fact the after only 1 visit he addressed me by name. How cool is that. This salon is top notch and can’t be matched in my opinion. #Ifoundmynewhome

Awesome manicure for my daughter 😊. Love my SNS as well. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and offered drinks. I highly recommend. Thank you Lina and those who work with her. We will be back. 😊

Anna is the best. She is so sweet and took very good care of my service. It’s been a minute since I’ve treated myself but the atmosphere was so relaxing and I was in and out in no time. Best nail salon I’ve visited since I moved 4 years ago from Texas.

Yesterday I was in dire need of getting my nails done as I had broken one and I was not able to make it in to my usual salon. I work in the area and decided I was going to go during my break, I found Uptown Nail Bar on google. I went to their website and was able to make an appointment which was amazing because I have a timed break. I arrived and was immediately greeted and seated. I wish I would have gotten the nail techs name, she did a fantastic job. I am very picky about my nails and I have found in the past that some nail techs just don’t give the attention to detail to their work. I hate having random uneven spots of residue from the dip powder on my nails but this nail tech was very attentive and I was impressed with how fast and perfect she did my nails. I think I may have found my new go to salon. Also, they have a slushie machine (they add a bit of rum to it if you want it) which was a nice touch! I will definitely be back!
