I was harassed by the staff members there. Constantly asked if I would need help and then when I told them I had a couple things I was going to buy a taller, older African American gentleman, who might be a manager ( i was told his name was Howard) told me that he would take them up front for me. When I went to check out, I learned that he had lied to me. He didn’t even bring them up to the front. I guess he thought I was not going to purchase them after all? He assumed I either couldn’t afford them or maybe he mistakenly thought I was going to steal them, and he put them back on the shelf. So I was forced to walk all over the store AGAIN to locate all of the products I’d been told would be waiting for me at the front. I was treated so poorly by this man that I don’t believe I’ll be shopping at this particular Ulta location again. I’ll be doing all my shopping online instead of subjecting myself to that form of passive-aggressive stereotyping and poor customer service.

I love the store. I don’t love how the associates make me feel and the way they follow me around. I would think it’s common sense, I’m a platinum member, u can’t steal ur membership status, I can only spend money to teach this status, which means I spent a lot of money, therefore, stealing is the last thing on my mind. Being treated like a regular human being is really the only thing I need help with,

My wife fought me trying to get to go into Ulta with her. I really didn’t want to go to that store, but she offered me a Crazy and Fun night at home ( if you know what I mean 😉), and she also offered to buy me anything I wanted. So i agreed and had to follow my wife into Ulta , and I felt like a wiped dog following her around. I got to see over 5 million different shades of tan colored makeup items and 20 million types of hair shampoos and conditiones. The staff saw my overwhelming look and was nice to come to my aid and start showing me Men’s products.
I learned a lot and now I know how to blend different shades of color to contour to the shapes of my face for each season and time of the day. After we checked out my wife was really pissed. She went in to buy a $50 dollar compact, but her bill was way higher than that figure. She had had to max out her credit card with another $1523 dollar charge to her account. I think she was mad and moody because of the $1523….$1442 of the items were items for me. She said she would buy anything I wanted. So after we got home she didn’t want to talk to me and now I am sleeping on the couch. I didn’t know that she would be so mad at me for being a better makeup artist than she is after the crash course at Ulta i received.
DOSE any one know a class she can go to to help her with her makeup?

Wife got a haircut here and is distraught, asked for shoulder length and got a bob cut, asked for layers just got blended. She also asked for the deep condition and it was just a simple wash, nothing to pay an extra $10 for And when she left a tip she said 15% and the lady took $15. If you do go here be very specific for what you ask for and very specific on how much you want to tip.
