IF YOU ARE A POC DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!

Upon entering the Hershey Hotel, we were impressed by the landscaping and architecture yet underwhelmed and slighted immediately upon entry.

Although it’s 2024, employees treated us as if we were in the 1930s, when the establishment began.

We came to take a tour of their spa and facilities but were unsure of their protocol for touring.

Firstly, we were greeted by one of the concierges to ask for directions to The Spa, she gave us a very confusing and roundabout way to get to the Spa. Immediately after that, another concierge politely inserted herself and gave us a much easier route to take.

As we went through the hallways on the way to the Spa, we admired the infrastructure and fixtures because it was most likely the same as it was back

We noticed that as we were walking the second route, the same concierge that gave the troubling route was trailing behind us.

It made us uncomfortable, to say the least, because she hadn’t made her presence known the entire pursuit.

As we made and found our way inside the empty Spa lobby, we greeted Colleen and a young Asian woman, I believe her name might have been Nancy however I am unsure because she acted as if we were not there the duration of our time.

We were informed by Colleen that they don’t do tours of the facilities if you don’t have a service scheduled, which honestly was a shock, I’ve been to resorts all over the world and it is an industry standard to have a tour of spa facilities even if it is brief. I digress.

Still skeptical, we moved forward with asking for a menu of services, she (Colleen) told us to look online, which was a slap in the face after we made time to come in person.

We had the intent of scheduling massages and/or the Vacation for a Day Package. In the middle of explaining to us their availability, Colleen thought it was appropriate to tell us that since we hadn’t booked anything yet and there was a line forming of customers that needed to be ‘checked in’, we should go to the Salon next door so they can better assist us.

Luckily, Mallory who was the associate at the Salon was gracious and took her time with us to explain further, that they don’t do tours during the weekend because of how busy it can be, which is understandable.

She also was patient enough to let us know all of the availability for massage services and what the Vacation for a Day Package includes.

My mom LOVES this place & I do too. The photos doesn’t really speak what the ambiance of the atmosphere brings. Just take a weekend or even a day & JUST DO IT! You won’t be disappointed 😉

My go to Spa! Been here several times!
Bring a swimsuit and use the indoor pool, only down part is sometimes hotel guest have little kids splashing around. I think to use the outside pool you have to have at least 3 services booked. This should change I think, or charge us $25 fee like other nice hotels to use the pool.
Here is how to order a drink in-between service instead of waiting till the end of treatments. If you are not staying at the Spa its nice to try their signature Chocolate Martini in plenty of time before you have to drive home. If you just want to go down to the Oasis in your robe there is a back lounge section where you can order a drink without making a reservation in-between services.

For an all-day spa experience, The Dpa at Hotel Hershey is ideal! From the sauna & steam room to the relaxation rooms and treats along the way, this is the perfect place for a relaxing day away. I went on my own as a Christmas gift and enjoyed every moment. The ladies up front are quick to get you in, then they give you a robe & slippers (these were pretty uncomfortable though) and then a tour. There is flavored water, tea, coffee, hot cocoa, chocolate and muffins to enjoy as you wait for your service. I booked the Holiday Season Sampler and loved each part. The staff works well to create a calm and relaxing environment.
