****Update****: Just found out that when they are in the back “mixing your color” they just LEAVE out the back door and go grab Mcdonald’s or a drink or something WHILE you’re sitting and waiting…. yeah this place is not it, honestly.
I’m brand new in town and I wanted to find a new regular hair stylist to upkeep my blonde hair. I scheduled a consultation to see what I can do to go blonder since I have very dark roots and I know every stylist is different so I wanted to get seen before making any specific appointment. I walk in and the atmosphere is not very inviting. The only smile I got from someone was the receptionist. Very pretty girl and sweet too. The stylist who was giving my consultation walked in and took me to her chair. I felt very awkward in her presence and she did not have a nice demeanor to her at all. I kept asking questions on what I can do to my hair but she was very short with me and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. We came to an agreement and I scheduled an appointment. I still do not understand why I decided to continue on at this salon but it was my first mistake. The day of my appointment the stylist doing my hair is not a people person at all. I felt as if she did not even like me. I am all for people having their own preferences of how they want to interact with people but it was the most awkwardest appointment ever. I legit at one point wanted to get up with the foils in my hair and leave. My stylist from where I came from was so inviting, sweet, and made me very comfortable. There would be times when we didn’t talk during the appointment and things felt fine still. However, not with this one. I felt on edge and that should not be how a person should feel while getting their hair done. It’s been about three weeks from my appointment and I can still feel how I felt back then. That’s how intense the feeling was. I’m sure you’re questioning why I’m writing this review now and not then. Well, at my new job I started about two weeks ago, I was talking to the receptionist here who just told me how they used to be a receptionist there. She told me she hated it because the environment was horrible and to never go there again. When I felt that way at my appointment i felt as if I was just overreacting because its a new stylist but since she told me this today, I knew that I wasn’t the only one. My hair came out great but I would rather get my hair done by someone who is able make their clients feel a lot more comfortable. Even if they were to mess up my hair.
Now, if you are someone who is very introverted and doesn’t like to interact much while getting services done, this place would be absolutely perfect. However, I think this place is only good to their regulars and not anyone new since I felt like I was a burden when I walked in.
