I usually always go to The Nail Shop, this was however my last time. The most uneven, bulkiest, worst set I’ve ever received. Genuinely disappointed.

Walked out of the shop in to natural light for a shock; these pictures are from the parking lot. My hands were very strategically kept out of my sight during the entire appointment.

I should have read more reviews but was just hoping to get something taken care of when I had time. They offered to fix it but I didn’t have another hour this evening to risk walking out with bubbles, waves and feeling like the butt of the joke.

I also included this then edited out because it felt mean but as a consumer; safety is important. The file that was used on my hands had clearly been used countless times, I should have left at this point but we all know how awkward that is. The dremmel tool or automatic file, whatever it’s called was also full of other peoples polish. Cuticle cutters were pulled out of a random drawer, and not soaking in any cleaning solution. Definitely makes you wonder. Here’s hoping to not walk away with a complimentary infection at the end of the whole experience.

My nail technician was really nice though.

After years of nail shop hopping, I have been consistently going to the Nail Shop for 2 years now because they are the only salon to always give me quality nails! I always get the dip powder service and sometimes some fun ombré outside of a normal color. They are always welcoming fun and interesting designs and ideas and knock the execution out of the park. The staff is highly skilled and really care that you’re leaving with nails that you love. They took great care of their staff and customers during the peak pandemic and continue to make sure they are doing what is best for everyone. Best nail salon in the Lexington area!

Best nail shop in Lexington HANDS DOWN. I’m so picky about my nails and they have never disappointed me. It’s always so clean and makes me feel safe getting my nails done. Everyone is very friendly and you can tell they truly wants to make their clients happy. If you like your nails almond shape, you will especially love it here. My dip powder always lasts 3-4 weeks with no breaking. Can’t recommend enough!
