I wish I could give them a 5-star, but unfortunately within 1 day I had a nail chip and by day 4, ive had even more. My SNS usually last 3-4 weeks so this is extremely disappointing. To add to, I knew their prices were a bit steep but when I saw my itemized receipt and saw that I was charged for SNS removal, shaping and then an additional fee for a gel color on top of my dip that they did not warn me about. Overall, great morning spent at their salon but i’m extremely disappointed in the way the services have warn.
I chose a color and once I sat in a chair I saw chrome and added that to my color. As I was getting my nails done everything looked great. However, when they were done and dry I saw tons of air bubbles and was extremely sad an disappointed. The color was past my cuticles and nails were uneven. Especially, since it was $70.00 not including tip. Two days later my nails started chipping. I have never had dip powder not last me more than 2 weeks. The pictures attached are when I got them done and now a week later. I might give this place a try again but certainly not with the person who did my nails.
All of the nail techs do great work! I usually set appointments with Marilyn because her design work is phenomenal!! If you have ideas for what you may like, she’ll do it exactly how you want or she’ll take her own spin on it if you’d like.
I’ve found the prices to be comparable to other local salons, however, the quality of work from The Nail Place of Charleston is what sets them apart from the other salons. I typically never have to worry about chipping or other issues, and if something does happen, they’re always willing to fix it if you give them a call!
The vibe of the salon is very modern while also relaxing!
