This morning was my first time going to The Nail Place and I had a wonderful experience. I got an acrylic fill and this is the best my nails have ever looked. The technician was very kind, made my nails look outstanding, and cut them to the length that I liked. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to get your nails done!

The manicure is really hit or miss. There are some great techs and a few not-so-great ones. The gel polish seems to last about a week to a week and a half if you’re lucky. They don’t do enough prep to help retain your polish so you’re having to visit more frequently. They have a huge selection of colors in gel and dip so you’re sure to find a color you love and they do have pretty wide availability during the week. The shop doesn’t have a super strong chemical smell so that’s nice but the inconsistency makes it hard to make this my regular nail shop.

I feel really badly for the sweet older lady who was clearly on her first day. I had a pedicure and she had difficulty with everything from the toe clippers to putting the spacers between my toes and the disposable sandals on my feet. Still, as badly I as felt for her, I won’t be back. I left with two toes bleeding, and, a really rough looking pedicure. I thought you needed license/training to do these?

I loved Long and his service!!! He was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable. They are LGBTQ+ friendly, which is another huge plus!! They have texting options for those with anxiety. This business is SO considerate. Love this and definitely coming back.

1. My nail tech used the heavy duty metal foot file on my feet when my calluses weren’t even that bad…she sliced open my pinky toe first, laughed, said sorry…and then proceeded to do it to my big toe on the same foot. My feet were filed so poorly that you can feel where there are random chunks of skin that were filed way too hard.

So of course, my feet were cut and filed raw right at the start of the pedicure so it wasn’t relaxing…at all.

2. I had picked out a few different designs I wanted for my pedicure. I always ask if they are confident that they can do the design and tell them it’s okay if they can’t or don’t know how. The first design they said they weren’t able to do, but that they could do ombré. My toe nails are not ombré; they simply look like they are painted half orange, half pink.

3. My nail tech didn’t even leave my paraffin wax on long enough to harden, the wax leaked out of the bag when they took it off and I was picking wax off my feet all day.

When my mom went up to pay for our pedicures, she mentioned it to the lady, and all she did was shake her head, laugh, and then eventually took of $13 for the “design” charge.

I will never go back to the Nail Place, I can’t even fix my nails or feet myself or go somewhere else because of how cut up and sore they are.
