I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a perfectionist when it comes to manicures – because I usually do my own fingernails anyway – and I do a THOUSAND percent better than this place did. It’s a good thing I love the color (my own – I bring my own tools and polish.)
Not to mention the painful pedicure. I repeatedly told the tech I was missing a toenail – she repeatedly tried to cut, buff and clean under the “nail.” Then she used it to lean on to steady her hand. PAINFUL.
She didn’t wrap the tips of my nails in polish, and you can see through the polish everywhere. So streaky. The top coat was applied sloppily and there are so many spots missed, it’s pathetic. I sincerely doubt the woman who did my mani-pedi was licensed.
My sister took me here as a treat – the place was recommended by my hairstylist too. If I’d been paying for it, I wouldn’t have paid them a dime. And my hairstylist will hear about the crummy recommendation as well.
Next time I’ll go to Lavish Nails and Spa.
This salon is great. I’ve had acrylic sets and fills done by Nina, Kim, and T, and I’ve also been assisted by Nicole and Tram for a manicure and pedicure, and they all do a wonderful job. They are always accommodating, even when I’m calling in a panic because I broke a nail. Having been there a couple of times, I am impressed with the variety of colors and designs they have, and I appreciate how they seem to collaborate and help each other out during sessions.
