I already only make appointments here when everywhere else is booked and I’m desperate, but now for the second time in the last year the couple that owns this salon said I didn’t make an appointment when I absolutely did. They accused me of calling the wrong salon before finally admitting I did have an appointment, but claiming I had the time wrong by 30 minutes. It was pretty obvious they had double booked themselves as 3 of us stood there waiting to be served by 2 nail techs. They conveniently waited to tell me I didn’t have an appointment until 20 minutes after I checked in and they asked me to pick a color. Coincidentally it was when two other people walked in asking for 2 pedicures. I guess 2 pedicures makes more money than 1 so I was out. It should be noted that I arrived 15 minutes early for the time I wrote down when I made the appointment. So IF I truly had the time wrong, I was 15 minutes late, yet they had me sit there for 20 minutes before telling me that? They were incredibly rude and unprofessional.

I went into star nails to get my nails done for my birthday. the man was very rude and aggressive when i first got them done and this was because he had to close but with someone who has such a busy schedule being a college student i couldn’t go in until later. I went home that weekend and accidentally broke one of my nails. again with having a busy schedule i didn’t get to go in until later to get it fixed. i waited a long time and i didn’t mind because there is only two of them. the lady fixed my nail and told me it was the right color because i also didn’t know them number because the guy never told
me. she continued to fix my nail and then the color turned out to be the wrong color. it did not match my nails whatsoever and all she said was “oops that was the wrong color” and didn’t even offer to fix it. they still charged me and sent me home with mismatched colored nails. will never go here again

I came here for acrylic nails and was not happy with the results. At the beginning of the appointment I showed the technician a picture of the nails I wanted. She let me go with cuticles not trimmed and a poor job. I had to ask her to clean up the extra paint splatter before I left. Even tho I made an appointment I was seated late and it took a while. $40

I don’’t understand their pricing. I had a dip done yesterday and the male technician tells me “$44.00, $25.00 for the base manicure” and apparently $19.00 additional for the dip! All he did was put the dip color on…no cuticle trim, no cleaning under the nail and no quick hand massage after…seems I paid for a lot more than I should have. To make matters worse, the nail tips are rough, snagging on my cloths. The nails look great but I question everything else.

I went to Star Nails for a dip manicure and a pedicure. There is no pricing posted within the salon. The gel pedicure was fine; very bare bones; the scrub and the massage may have lasted 5 minutes combined. The dip “manicure” was an entirely different experience. The technician was rushed, very rough and not very personable. The salon is definitely understaffed and overbooked. The technician used a dremel tool to trim my cuticles and it caused a lot of pain to a couple of my fingers. When I asked him to actually trim my cuticles he seemed very put out. In addition, I asked about having lotion put on, he stated that a “manicure” was an additional cost to the dip. Since when does a nail service not include the actual “manicure ” portion? I paid $55+ tip for just the “dip” manicure that really wasn’t a full manicure at all. I won’t be back due to the lack of service and high prices.
