Customer Says:
Unfortunately no one else was there to help them so one of them walked out. I do believe the main reason why my pedicure was so rushed was to help the other client who had an appointment. The whole process felt wrong. There was no bag put on the tank before the water was turned on. I addressed this concern with her and she mentioned that she cleans each tub throughly and most places don’t and they just replace the bag.
So I was like, “okay I guess” but not even two minutes into soaking my feet she drilled off my previous gel, cut my nails, and pushed back my cuticles with no oil or anything. It really hurt but I have a high pain tolerance so I didn’t say she was hurting me. I attached a picture of the menu that is “offered” in regards to different scents and scrubs. I never had the chance to choose because she put in a blue powder labeled “SEA SALT” into the water which started to sting.
That’s when I realized she had actually cut into some of my cuticles and around the nail bed. The pumice stone used on my feet wasn’t the steel type but the porous type, which can harbor bacteria and fungus so that was kind of gross especially since she cleaned it in the water after she was done. I really don’t think those things can really be sanitized for repeated use on multiple people.
The next part was the scrub down with an exfoliating scrub and then the lotion rub down part, which is typically when a massage is worked in. My massage consisted of her beating down on my legs with the side of her hand like someone tenderizing meat.
Then when that was over she started to paint my toes. No base layer, just the color I brought in myself. Then the top coat. She spent a total of 11 minutes on my pedicure and you better believe I timed it since she was rushing to get done. If I wanted an express pedi I would have selected that. But that wasn’t even a thing on their menu. I normally tip but I was so disgusted I just paid the $33 and left.
This place was completely understaffed and their choice of equipment can honestly lead to infections. So overall it’s not worth it. The nail salon at the mall did a better job!
