Customer Reviews:
Design I wanted he’ll take the time patience and is passionate when doing my nails. Great job
If I thought the pedicure was rushed, boy was I in for a wild ride. Hands down the most rushed and sloppiest manicure I’ve received in 28 years, and I’ve been to some questionable places in the past! He wanted to use the electric filer that they use for acrylic nails..but on my cuticles. People have done that for me in the past and I hate it – it’s sloppy and never comes out clean looking at all. I asked him twice not to use it but he insisted he knew what he was doing, so I gave him a shot. That was my mistake. Exactly what I thought would happen did..my nails now have deep dents in them and the next day all the painful hangnails ensued.
Only six hours after my manicure, I was washing my hands and a huge chip comes off..from washing hands? My mom convinced me to go back next day because of the chip, all the hangnails, and there was a lot of cuticle remaining on every nail that he didn’t remove since he rushed the entire process so poorly.
Thankfully they were very nice about redoing it – but their policy is that the person who did it has to fix it…oh joy. They removed my polish, gave me c o l d water to soak my hands in (like last time), and tried to use the electric filer again! I had to ask him three times not to use it and to use a nipper instead. On the third time of me asking he actually took my hands and tried to start using it!! I pulled back my hands and said “No!” – this time the manager was watching, so this time the guy “understood me” and used the nipper instead. He was beyond rushing and sloppy – more than the day before AND caused me to bleed twice. Never in my life has a manicurist cut me with a nipper. And never in my life has a manicurist rushed so much for a job I’m paying them to do.
After the cuticles were removed (better than before, but still not great) he left for about 15 minutes to go give a pedicure to a new client! I was instructed by the manager that I had to wait till my guy was done for him to paint my nails – they wouldn’t have someone else who was free to finish the job or do the other person’s pedicure. Meanwhile, I asked for a nail file and fixed the shape of my nails myself and buffed my nails out, since I don’t think he knew what he was doing (trust me, I tried asking so many times, and I was nice!). Once I fixed it up a bit, he was finished with his client and painted my nails. His polishing job was fine, no complaints there. However, since the nails are so badly dented, due to the machine he insisted on using, they look pretty bad overall.
Next day I got so many hangnails…they hurt pretty bad. The cuts he made in my skin from rushing also hurt. I’m going to have to remove the polish, buff my nails a little, and then let them grow out until I can paint them again – if I buff them out till the dent is gone I’ll have paper thin nails because of how deep the dents are. I’m going to have to medically treat the hangnails after I nip them myself and ultimately give myself an entire new manicure – sans polish, because I have dents! I took photos of the day after and today as well. I’m so disappointed. Super expensive manicure considering. Sorry for long explanation, but I really needed to give the full story. I think it’s so hit and miss here that it’s better off going somewhere else. Not worth the $$ if it’s going to turn out like my experience!! Unfortunate birthday manicure/pedicure!
