Customer Reviews:
I was at Sephora yesterday, April 28th around 4pm. I recently had a major surgery due to a cancer diagnosis. As much as it’s personal to say this it’s to put a context to the situation. I didn’t look my best because I had to wear baggy cloths and comfy shoes. I feel I was treated poorly because of my appearance. I did not have makeup on and was buying a full face of makeup from urban decay. About $250 dollars worth. It was busy and I was heading to the register… there was an employee talking to 2 ladies about a product and they all were in the middle of the isle. I went to turn around to go the other way and it was extremely busy to navigate. I said excuse me politely and the employee who was taking to the ladies (she was the one in the isle the other ladies were on the side) she looked back at me and said excuse me and looked up and down and said I’m with these customers and didn’t move and continued talking. I started to feel myself cry and stood there and said I’m trying to get by and she looked at me up and down and stared at me. The 2 woman your employee was talking to moved out of the way and said I’m so sorry and moved over for me to get through and they told the employee that they don’t need her help anymore and put all their stuff down and left. I looked at my items and just put them back and left as well. I couldn’t have addressed it then because I would have been a wreak crying. I didn’t look back to see her name but I know she was a young black haired Hispanic that was a little heavier. I know it was because of how I was dressed because I was in a rich mall. I 100% was type casted and there was witnesses. So broken from this experience. Never again.
I’m a man shopping for make up because I’m an actor and they were so patient with me. I don’t know much about make up but I’m learning..
keyboard warriors relax! I know a man can wear make up even though he’s not an actor. Lol. 😉
