I have been getting my nails done for the past 9 years, gone to many if not all of the salons in the Williamsburg area. Left un-satisfied and/or disappointed.
So, I searched around and came across Scorpio Rising. The salon is somewhat new as it opened in 2020. I decided to give them a chance and made a reservation. For me it was an hour drive, although it was absolutely worth it!
I arrived on time for my appointment was introduced to my nail stylist Audra. No hour long wait after scheduled reservation time. Something that occurs with many other nail salons…
Audra, she’s super cool and professional. Her work area was very clean and tidy. She explained clearly what she’s doing and answered all my questions.
I never once felt uncomfortable, pressured or upset. It was like I was hanging out with an old friend!
My session was a dry manicure and the Gel X set with design. The set price is worth it.
The photos don’t do my bodacious nail set justice. The nails are far more spectacular in person! Audra can do just about anything nail design wise, and I believe it!
A few things to know…
Don’t hold back any questions. They have their contact information on the website. They are quite swift at responding!
They go by reservations, something that can be done on their website.
For me, payment information was requested prior to my first visit. There are other salons that do this, in case of no shows…Time is valuable!
Again, excellent, professional and refreshing experience!! Will be going there for now on! 10/10 would recommend!!!

I’ve been a client of Audra’s for years and years and there’s nobody other than her and her fellow technicians at Scorpio Rising I’d recommend for nail services in Richmond. The studio space is gorgeous, the folks are friendly, the prices are more than reasonable, and you can trust you’ll get unparalleled high-quality service every single time. I especially love gel polish and creative nail art, but they’re a full service nail salon that can cater to a variety of needs.

Olivia had a cancellation and I saw on Instagram and was able to snag it. She did an incredible job and took my fall vision of nails and ran with it! She was fun to talk to, the appointment was relaxing and I enjoyed it! Her books fill up fast so I can’t come back for a few months but I already have future appointments booked! Can’t wait to come back!

Summer is absolutely amazing. She really is a perfectionist for making sure that all your nails look beautiful and even. I’ve never had issues with lifting, and her extensions are always perfectly shaped.

Self care for Men is on the rise and I decided to try out a regular manicure. Booked with Tamika and had a great experience. She asked me about a few things like polish or not, buff or not and I elected no polish and buff was up to her. I let her do what she does best. Men’s self care is definitely A+
