I would have loved to have been able to experience this salon, but I never even got a return phone call or email reply. I called over 10 times, over the course of a week- each time going to their answering machine.
Tried booking online under their booking dashboard- “no services enabled at this location.” Tried emailing for help booking an appointment- no one ever responded.

I wound up making an appointment with another salon in downtown Juneau and didn’t have any issues at all. I’ll gladly give this other salon my money instead.

I would absolutely recommend Salon Cedar! I lived up in Juneau for the summer and the weather was really harsh on my hair. My stylist was Michael and he did SUCH an amazing job at restoring the moisture and styling my hair, not to mention the hot tea he made for me and how friendly he was! I’m not someone who typically goes to the salon to get my hair done, so Michael’s work was a such a wonderful surprise for me (: I would 10/10 recommend this place and Michael as long as he still styles there!!

Absolutely was so happy to get the results I wanted for my hair at this place. Im quite picky about how I want my hair and I very much appreciate good customer service. Dawn was a very sharp on the phone which I loved! Dawn gave me Candice who cut and blow dried my hair. Now let me tell you. Not every salon you go to knows what a blow dry is, but this salon did! It was like miracle to me.

Candice was super zen, polite and gentle with my hair which isn’t what I expected. I’m so use to rough aggressive Dominicans doing my hair, but Candice had very gentle and super polite approach which help lower my anxiety and helped trust salons again.

I definitely would recommend this place. If your looking for somewhere super professional, and on top of there skills. This is the place to go.

I really enjoy going to this place! But I recently just had the worst experience with this new hair dresser name Mike. I was originally supposed to get Candice then or Brendan. At first Mike was really nice, but then would be extremely aggressive with the hairbrush. As this might be funny to him it was not enjoyable for me at all. Also I could not deny the huge tension in the salon while he was there. I now know that I would never request this person because although I tried to bond with this hair stylist, all I felt was a lot of hostility.

I had previously gone to another salon in Juneau and ended up with a terrible hairstyle with layers of dark roots, bleach blonde, vibrant blue, and light brown (I had asked for monotone purple…), but luckily Stephanie at Salon Cedar was able to save my hair! She did a wonderful job bleaching / dying my hair to the exact shade of purple I wanted. She was very open about what I could do with my hair, and worked with me to make sure that I was happy with the end result. I will definitely return to her for my next appointment!!

Super friendly and inclusive of all communities! Gave me the exact haircut I wanted and were helpful in recommending hair products. I’ve had a hard time getting short haircuts in salons as they recommend me to go to barbers, who in turn recommend me to go to salons. I didn’t have a problem here, they were on time and knew what they were doing!! Super happy
