I have been going to Salon 328 for a couple of year and most of the time I am happy with my haircut and coloring. Monica is a very good stylist, she always does her best, never lets you go home unhappy. I have tried many salons before and often was not pleased with the result. Monica truly does care of her customers, she is nice, always asks what you want to do with your hair, and if you explain it well, you get what you want. I always end up with a style that looks good and easy to manage. Yes, I would recommend Monica to anyone who is still looking for a stylist!

I took my aunt to get her hair cut and colored for the first time in ages, and Monica, the owner of Salon 328, took care of her. Since neither my aunt or I had any ideas about the style of cut or the color, we relied on Monica’s expertise to make recommendations. We settled on a color that was closest to her original hair color and found a photo online that we wanted her hair to resemble. Long story short, Monica did a fantastic job with all of it. She listened, was careful, and in the end, my aunt was not only impressed, but she almost cried because she hasn’t seen herself look like that in a long, long time. She’s a recent immigrant and has been taking care of her family her entire life, so she hasn’t had anytime for herself. Monica made sure she (and I) was happy with the results. I highly recommend her as a color expert and stylist!

My experience here was very, very disappointing. I conversed with my stylist about the style/hair cut I was looking for, showed her several photos of what I really liked, and briefly discussed how it would translate to my hair. The end result was nothing like what I was expecting: bangs were WAY too short, squared and clipped up at the temples, (when the stylist herself said I needed volume at the temples… instead she cut the hair up, away from there?!?), bangs are uneven, overall length was shorter than we discussed, the layers were much more shaggy than anticipated (even after I stated I did not like the shaggy look), and my highlights make my hair look stripe-y.
To be fair to the stylist, I did not give her any direction for the highlights other than I do not want to look like a skunk (I have dark brown hair) and would just like some depth to the hair and break up the solid mass of brown a bit.
I can let the length go, I can let the shaggy layers go, I can let the highlights go, but my bangs are awful. They are going to need to be pinned up every day for at least a month before they are long enough to even fix. The really disappointing bit was I was super excited for this haircut; my face hasn’t seen bangs in in over 15 years and my hair went from waistline to skimming the shoulders.
I entered this salon as a woman in my mid twenties and left looking like a middle-aged woman walking off the set of the movie Hairspray. Very disappointed.

had a one of the best experiences in a salon in along time.on time and very knowledgeable on the latest styles and color.would highly recommend any of the stylist since i have tried the male and lady designers.also a great view of main st.ann arbor while i had my hair done.
