Customer Reviews:
Had a 7pm appointment for a Monday evening for a Japanese Gel Manicure. Came around 6:30-6:40pm, thinking if they have availability they would take me (or I could just sit until my appointment time). My appointment didn’t get started until after 7:30pm. I had Japanese gel on my nails from another QQ location. The owner started scraping the paint off of my nails instead of drilling it, which was incredibly uncomfortable. While I was waiting, the owner also tried giving me a back massage which I decline. He wound up hurting my back where I was in pain for 24+ hours after.
When I finally got my nails done, the quality of the work was very poor. The polish was lumpy. Where manicures from other locations can last me a month, after 5 days my nails started chipping. For a $65 manicure, I’d like it to last longer than if I did them.
I was one of the last customers of the evening, and overheard the employees complaining about the amount of tip that customers have been leaving. Which I get it, you should be getting paid a wage where you shouldn’t rely on a tip to make a living wage. But at least wait until all the customers leave.
If I spend over 70 dollars on a powder manicure ($57+tip) I expect them to last at least 3 weeks. So I went back to have them redo the two nails that chipped.
They did it free of charge, but the woman doing my nails (who I’m sure is who I had last time) continually assured me it was because of the weakness of my nails. But my nails were not broken, just the powder. I also found that very odd, because last time she did my nails, she told me how strong they were. I’ve been getting my nails done for like 8 years now, I know when my nail breaks compared to a poor quality powder chipping on my nails.
I overheard her complaining about it to the man running the front desk while I was waiting for my two nails to dry. Honestly, it was a quick fix, I shouldn’t have been made to feel like it was my fault I needed them fixed in the first place. I’ve had better powder manicures elsewhere.
