It was my second time at beauty bar and I asked for Gel X nails with french tip and peach chrome on top. I looked at their website prices prior to booking and my nail tech never warned me french tip would be $15 extra and chrome would add an extra $25!! Had I known my design would cost $40 more I would have gotten a solid color and a pedicure instead!! Are these prices normal?? Fair warning to everyone and i will not go back unless I get a partial refund.

Positives are classy fun atmosphere. Mostly friendly staff. Sunny and Bee are great at nail art if you bring a pic. As a gel x nail art connoisseur, my nails always look great and last despite how hard I am on them, but they are limited on the color selection, they don’t do stamping or lettering and have no jelly colors which are my fav. They do have chrome but only white. The place I went previously offered all that but was much more expensive. So for the price, Purluxe is the best!

Alyssa H. does the best dip manicures that I have found in Denver! She’s super kind, efficient, thorough, and consistent. She also does amazing nail art! I can’t recommend her enough.

I love this place! My sister recommended it when I was looking for a cute spot to get nail art done as I was trying out different styles before my wedding. I met with Denny and he was amazing! I showed him some inspo photos of styles I liked, and over the course of the months leading up to my big day, he trialed each of them on my nails. He did a beautiful job every time. Then after I picked a style, he recreated it beautifully (even better than the first time) just in time for my big day! Denny is so good at what he does and also so kind. The ambiance in the studio is also perfect for pampering, whether you’re by yourself or with friends, it’s a great environment. And I love that they serve mimosas!

Had a disappointing experience with Purluxe. I went in for a gel manicure – hoping to get the “chocolate glazed” look. The first time the service was great, though the technician did cut my cuticle pretty badly (it’s fine, happens). Unfortunately, within 1 hour, the top coat started peeling off several nails on one hand. I called the salon & they brought me in for a free fix that afternoon and I left happy.

The next morning, it happened again, this time on both hands. I called and asked for a refund, as I did not have time to go in for another fix & was frankly pretty frustrated that my $80 manicure was falling apart within 24 hours AGAIN. The salon would not offer a refund & instead asked me to come in for another fix – I went to the salon to save myself time, not to go in 3 times. I’ve included photos, including this morning, 3 days post-manicure, where it looks like I did a DIY hack job. I understand why the no-refund policy is in place for typical situations. In this case, I did try and work with their policy 1 time, but their products were not up to par & I’m disappointed they were not willing to make an exception given the very expensive price tag. Will not be returning here!
