The only reason for 2 stars is because the shop is beautiful with great air quality control. No strong chemical smells.

I chose this shop because it is in Providence Village and appears to be a high end shop. Wrong!

Pedicure: Take a look. Polish covers most of the cuticles. Tips of nails not swiped with color so they are white. The are a mess up close.

Dip Powder: I usually polish my own nails because I am retired and live on a fixed income. I decided to splurge and get the dip because I’m packing this afternoon to go to my mom’s funeral. I wanted a nice look that dries quickly and lasts a couple of weeks. More than one of my cuticles is raw (one finger shown below) for the tools used to finish the dip. The index finger on my left hand is filed at an angle different from the rest. (shown below) I left the shop with ragged cuticles.

Lastly, the nail technician was rude. I live in China for 3 years so I understand culture differences in Asia but there was literally no conversation. She pushed my hands around and tsked at me when I didn’t do what she wanted. It should have been obvious that I don’t know the process since I came in with natural nails.

So $90 later and a $7 tip (should not have given), I’m disappointed and will not go back to this shop. EVER!

Nina and Tina are my QUEENS!!! I literally will not see anyone else under any circumstances. Nina for your manis, Tina for your pedis- the ultimate dream team! I’m in love with my French manicure every time -the thin white line, shaping, the extra sparkle on the pink part… As for my toes, I constantly chip/break my big toe nail during volleyball and they were able to put tips on them to ensure this doesn’t happen. Not to mention the massages! Better than a massage therapist. I’ve been coming to them for years and never plan on changing! Thank you, Tina and Nina! ♥️

Be 100% certain of your cost BEFORE you go in! It was a great pedicure – loved the massage and attention to my reactions to different massage techniques. However, when it came time to pay, every single person was surprised at the price. I heard every person in the shop say, “But I thought it was…” I had called before I went in and was told one price, so I took enough for that and a decent tip. When the price quoted on the phone became $10 more in the shop, I was annoyed. But, fool me once – I won’t be back.

This afternoon my mother and I visited the Providence Spa & Nails location. Upon entering the store nobody greeted us or told us where to look for our colors. We wanted gel manicures. The counter was littered with bottles of nail polish. Others were picking colors from there, so we followed suit. We sat and waited 15 minutes before anyone even asked what we were there for. After waiting 30 minutes my mom asked how much longer it would be until we were seen. We were fine with coming back at a later time if they were too busy. The answer we got was “soon.” 5 minutes later we were helped. The woman doing my nails told me not to watch and kept telling me to relax my arms, but the way she was turning my arms I literally could not relax them at all. I have cuticles that are bitten and rough, so I realize the surrounding skin will not be perfectly smooth. However, my cuticles and skin still look very rough. There were still dead white pieces sticking off after the manicure. Everything was very rushed. My nail was barely prepped and immediately started with gel polish. At one point she told me to put my nails in the UV dryer for “a few minutes” and walked away for 5. She said someone else got mixed up so she had to do something else. That’s not my problem. My “hand massage” lasted not even a minute between both hands. It was the most rushed service I have ever had in my entire life. I LOVE getting my nails done. I don’t mind spending the money for a good manicure, but I paid $45 today for the WORST manicure experience of my life. There was still nail file dust in my nail walls after the manicure was over, which you can see in the photos I attached.

My mother had a similar experience. The woman doing her manicure was constantly looking around at the bush salon the entire time. She barely even looked at my moms nails while she did them. My mom was trying to grow out her nails, but the lady filed them down so low and square that she barely has any nail at all growing beyond the nail bed. They’re thick on the ends. One nail corner doesn’t even have any polish on it. The polish she chose was not gel, which we didn’t know because nobody instructed us. My mom said to choose a similar purple in a gel color, but her nail tech chose the first purple she saw… very dark and nothing at all similar. My mom said she didn’t like it, so the lady told her to look at the check out counter littered with polished (where we looked originally.) she chose a new color, this also wasn’t gel. She got an attitude from the nail tech even though she chose a color from exactly where she was told to look. My mom chose a third color, which was gel. Her services were just as rushed and poor as mine were. We are severely disappointed with the service and price. We will never be back.

This was my first time at the salon on my birthday. I went in for a mani-, pedi-. I was trying to pick out the colors of what I wanted for my toes and I think she read my mind! I had one color picked out and it looked like the same one that I wanted. However, when we transitioned to the nails, it was a little botched but she did a good job at them. I also did not have the chance to look at the prices and what they charged me was somewhat outrageous.
I thought the service was fine but however the way that THEY ONLY LIKE TO TOP ON VENMO. IF YOU DON’T HAVE VENMO DON’T GO THERE! I tried to give cash and I got odd looks from them. I am new and town and this was the first place nearby my house. This place is good but definitely great for pedicures but manicures might be a different story.
