Went in for gel x removal and a manicure. Pretty painful manicure… ended up bleeding on one finger and discomfort on most afterwards. Gel looks pretty uneven. Overall, not sure if it was worth $70 before tip. Person doing my nails was nice though.

Really disappointed in my experience here, staff was so friendly so I didn’t want to write a negative review. I decided to go to a local nail salon to get my Gel-X set removed and was quoted $20. I was told that for this price I would be getting removal with any necessary clean up. This was reasonable so I booked the appointment and also made sure to clarify again that the service was $20. At the appointment I denied any polish and made sure to voice again that I only wanted a removal and nothing more. I was charged $57 afterwards. I was told that because my nail tech filed my nails, clipped my cuticles, and was using cuticle oil that this counted as a manicure and it was an additional $37. However, I was extremely confused because she was doing this throughout the removal process…. If I knew that filing and clipping the tiniest bit of cuticle was going to total an additional $37 I would have gladly driven downtown to my usual nail salon. I thought this was unfair because I made sure to clarify many times about only wanting a removal. I don’t appreciate the inaccurate quote and then paying for services that I “received” but not really. I don’t want to bash any of the staff here, they were very apologetic but also told me there is nothing they can do. Unfortunate. I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

Update 10/23/2021
Last year I signed up for membership because I like the idea of using natural products. I was disappointed when I tried to cancel they said that my membership was cancelled. Then I kept getting charged. I should have paid more attention to my card and saw the repeat charges but I didn’t and a few months later I was reviewing my budget and saw that the charges were still coming out. I called and was told it was cancelled incorrectly and they fixed it. I asked about getting a refund. I was told that I had to talk to the manager. I called back and she told me it was not possible.
So I’m here today trying to spend my credit. I made an appointment online and I was scheduled for 11:30. I showed up at 11:26. It’s 11:53 and someone just started working on my nails.
I’ll post a pic of the finished results.
Salon that uses natural ingredients. Nail colors are limited. The clear glitter turns brown after a week or so. The pedicure chairs are uncomfortable. They are not the massage chairs. Service is great and the staff are super fun to talk with.

So when I get there the woman behind the front desk almost tells me I need to wash my hands before my service. Weird. Because I’m get a pedicure but rules is rules I came in with the intention to do some work while I got my pedicure so I had my huge water bottle, my laptop and my purse. So I need a place to put my things down while washing my hands. The woman that told me to wash my hands then gose to the back to speak to the person that did my nails and all I can say is maybe she had a long day, maybe they weren’t even talking about the service or me or whatever who knows. After waiting for the receptionist and the nail tech to finish talking the receptionist picks a spot that has not table for me to put anything on but there was a free chair( it wasn’t super busy) and I put my stuff there. Never in my life have I been to a nail salon that doesn’t have massage chairs. But stil no big deal. Right? I didn’t come there for a massage I came to get the dead skin off my feet. So I thought I was a a genius and did a foot peal mask and would get a pedicure to remove the excess dry skin with a pedicure after a few days. I came here and I was jus not satisfied with the results. The nail tech said that the skin would regenerate or something. The whole reason why I came was to get the dry dead skin removed off my feet and if I had known they couldn’t or wouldn’t do that I wouldn’t have even came in I informed the person on the phone before coming (Ausumming thus person was not a nail tech or just didn’ know) and she didn’t say it would be a problem. I’m unhappy with the results and just not being told they wouldn’t fully exfoliate my feet. The nail tech did suggest I buy their lotion… lol. This isn’t normal for me I did I foot peel and thought that after waiting I would be able to get a pedicure to remove the skin from my feet. BUT! The place was clean and looked very nice. Edit I called ahead of time to make sure that they would be able to help get this skin off my feet I explained that I did a peel and was told it would be no problem. I understand what your saying and I makes sense but don’t tell me you can provide a service if it’s not possible. I can ve told no I understand why it wasn’t possible after being told. But I was told this by you and after my pedicure was done. I should have been told when I called ahead before getting to the salon.
