I got gel x done YESTERDAY at lunch time and a nail has already popped off. Literally less than 24 hours ago. I spent $60, and she also cut me 3 times. There was a girl beside me getting her nails done before me and the lady used the same tools without cleaning them on me after her. While I was in there, another lady came in wanting her nails fixed because the gel peeled off so I guess this is a common problem here. There was also a young boy working in there who was incredibly rude. The whole experience was not great. I live 2 hours from this location and cannot go back to get them fixed, so this was a waste of money for me. I do not recommend this location at all.

I’ve been coming to Polished Nail Bar for 8 or 9 years now and couldn’t recommend them more! Every technician is nice, welcoming and professional, I haven’t had a bad experience once in that time frame with numerous technicians and I get my nails done once a month. The nails turn out beautiful every time whether it is gel, SNS or acrylic. I recommend this location to everyone and it’s worth whatever commute.

I’ve been here several times because it is a super convenient location for me. I’ve had good experiences here, but it is inconsistent. The last time I went, the person literally peeled my gel nails off with his fingers. He applied the gel SUPER thick. My nails were done and they did not remove all of my prior gel – so I have little flecks of red under my pink nails. The gel is peeling after one week. DO BETTER! I’ve gone here the last six months and won’t go back. It’s sad – it’s not that hard to do things the right way.

This was my 3rd visit here & let’s just say 3rd time is NOT the charm. My first 2 visits are great. The service is epic but the way they did my nails on this 3rd visit is all wrong. I have two friends who own nail salons in Virginia who have been doing GELX on me for almost two years now, so I am aware that everyone does them differently & why. I normally drive to VA to get my nails done but decided to let Polished try since they have great service with my pedicure & wax’s.
I told the tech when I first saw her start my GELX that I didn’t want them done like she was doing them because I know they won’t last. She places the GELX nail almost to the middle of my natural nail. Which means it will look bad AKA need to come back for a new set sooner. She replied “everyone do it differently” I said yes I’m aware of the different ways & I don’t like how you’re doing it. I trusted her process & now I’m not even a week into this fresh set & it look horrible. My cuticles & natural nails are showing BAD. I have 3 back to back trips & I’m so upset that I now have to wait till I’m back in the US to fix this.
I have added photos of my original GELX set that someone else did. That Polished removed for me before putting theirs on. Notice the original clear & white set they removed was over 5 weeks old & still don’t look at bad, thick, & unnatural as this 5 DAY old set that polish put on for me.

I love this polished location, Kim (the guy) always does my pedicures, love him! And everyone else at this location.. always so sweet and greeting! And they do a great job. Ive never been unhappy with my pedicures and im a particular person but ive been going here for over a year now! If youre in the area try them out!!
