I was in this area visiting for a few days and decided to treat myself to a manicure. I called ahead and got an appointment where I was promptly greeted and able to be seated immediately. It was a very nice atmosphere, very nice staff. The process went very smoothly until the nail shaping began. I asked for almond shape and was given stilleto. I didn’t correct them as it wasn’t a huge deal to me, however once the painting began, the tips were painted slightly crooked. Again, didn’t correct them as they’re straight from specific angles. I had asked for two tiny designs on my ring fingers and the technician had to call for backup. The lady who did the small design got the job done but it is a bit sloppy. My thumb nail also got pushed into a bit during that process and they attempted to fix the top coat but it is rough to the touch and once arriving home, there is a small area of the white that you can see the mistake. Otherwise, it was a very smooth, painless process. If I lived in this area, I would definitely revisit.

I usually don’t write reviews but there was a situation that happened when I was getting my nails done where I didn’t feel too good and started to feel faint. All of the workers rushed to help me and gave me food and a place to lay down and feel better. I cannot express my appreciation for everyone who works here. Along with their helpfulness they also are very skilled at what they do. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

I made a last minute appointment at this salon the day before my wedding. I came in with gel nails that did not feel like “me” and did not look the way I wanted to after multiple attempts to have a different nail salon create the look I was after.

The professionals at Ocean Star were so gracious, took their time to understand what I was looking for, looked at the pictures I showed them and noted what I did not like about the style that the other salon did. One of the technicians (or possibly the owner?) asked me to wait while she tested multiple gel styles on her own fingernails and then came over and asked me which one was the style I was looking for. She was able to create exactly what I was looking for through her patience and willingness to try a few styles for me.

I have never had such care shown by a salon before, they were so kind and did not let me feel guilty for having a specific desire for how my nails looked on my wedding day. I don’t get my nails done often and did not realize how much I cared how they looked for this big event until the professionals at Ocean Star created the look better than I could have imagined. This business is clean, bright, and the professionals here do a wonderful job ensuring their clients are receiving exactly the service they are looking and paying for. Thank you so much.
