Customer Reviews:
The masculine woman with the short hair can’t possibly be licensed. She doesn’t know what she’s doing
The older man started my gel manicure but stopped after l asked him to wrap each nail instead of soaking my hand in acetone. No one covers their mouths when they cough.
Kimmy was professional & attempted to service me & correct the man’s tasteless behavior but I was short on time. She did wrap my nails to remove the gel polish that I came in with.
The young woman at the front apologized for the experience.
I had 3 broken nails, and one that was cracked bringing it to 4 that needed to be replaced. Please stop trying to make yourself look better and accept responsibility. Your nail tech has zero excuse for getting it wrong. If they are so popular, then they should exhibit great communication and be able to honor customer requests. I shouldn’t have to ask 5 times for short nails, only to still have long nails. Additionally, perhaps a refresher is in need on how to apply gel and acrylic so the texture and opacity is consistent with good nail services.
In regards to the pricing, again I understand that broken nails is a fee. However, your studios lack of transparency is unprofessional, and people need to be warned before frequenting your shop.
Lastly, I would encourage this salon to update the description of services for the pedicure. A massage is absolutely not what was received. I find it hard to believe that after the experience I had, those are your two most requests techs.
My expectations truly aren’t that high. I expect transparency and acknowledgement when I request my nails to be shorter. Both of which many other salons do without argument.
Original review:
As a teacher, I was looking forward to treating myself to a mani/pedi at the end of the school year to decompress, but this experience was so awful, it did just the opposite. I thought I was overreacting, but after showing multiple people my nails, they all were shocked at how awful they look.
1. I needed an acrylic fill. I had a four broken nails, which they replaced. I expected this would be an additional charge, but they did not explain the fees, and ended up charging me for a FULL set of acrylics, again without transparency about that or how I would be charged. The acrylic is uneven and bumpy. Not filed properly.
2. I asked the tech for short nails. I had to repeat myself 5 times, and they still refused to cut them shorter, leaving them at medium to long length. I requested an additional time that I would like them shorter and the tech waved me off and did not trim them.
3. I got gel color. Gel should be opaque and smooth. Instead the color is uneven, streaky and see through.
4. My pointer nail broke the day after getting them done.
5. I did not get designs on my nails, but was charged for using two different gel colors, which is laughable – it’s the same process and no intricate designs.
6. I also got a volcano pedicure, which was a better experience than my nails but the services that are in the description were not provided accurately – mainly the massage. There was no massage, which is the specific reason I upgraded the pedicure.
7. The website quoted $80 for services. I knew I would be paying more with my broken nails. Even with the cost of a full set, I was charged $20 more than what the website quotes (prior to tip). There was no explanation, and no transparency about the fees.
8. The services took nearly 3 hours, which ended up being more stressful than relaxing because who wants to spend that much time in a salon when everything is going wrong?
The only nice thing was that they did offer cold water.
Avoid this salon, there are so many better ones around! Now to go fix my nails myself…
Update: 5 months going to this nail salon and I will not go anywhere else!! Staff is always so nice, place is really clean and Le is killing it with every design he makes ❤️
