Horrible experience my daughter who’s 13 years old saved up money from working a job and was so excited to finally get her hair permed we were told we get an experienced student got a girl that had never even done a perm the supervisor admits they messed up and didn’t take all the moisture out so my daughter left with no curls no perm and had to pay $75 to waste 3 hours of our life she left in tears 😢 😭 I have actually never seen her cry tell tonight because she doesn’t cry. Not to add how I found out the missed up is by every student coming out to vape and as they were coming out they were talking bad things about the perm and the smells and how horrible it was and how they were not pay for something like that. Luckily I recorded most of it this is so distasteful and down right wrong

My mom and I brought my daughter in, initially, for a chemical consultation to see if her hair could withstand being bleached in order to color it with vivid purples as a gift from grandma to her for her recent 19th birthday. Not only were Coral and instructor Nikki super knowledgeable and kind, we felt so confident with that experience and the information we were given that we came back the next day for Coral to actually DO the full bleach and color. This young lady is AMAMZING! She is patient, thorough, sweet, knowledgeable, and pays great attention to detail. We will be following her wherever she goes with her career. I know she has a long and successful one ahead of her. I am beyond impressed with the quality of work she did for my daughter’s 19th birthday gift from her grandma. Thank you so much Coral, Nikki, (the super sweet receptionist, who’s name I didn’t get) and all of the sweethearts down at NW Beauty College! You are all so wonderful! We had a truly wonderful experience. ❤️

If you’re considering becoming a student at northwest cosmetology, I would highly advise against it. Not only is the school extremely dirty and unsanitary and had a flea infestation when I attended school there, but the staff is unprofessional, rude, and has horrible communication. If you are coming here in hopes of learning how to do luxury facials, lashes, brow lamination or any other industry beauty trends, expect to have to teach yourself. I invested thousands of dollars into my own product and other classes outside of this school to actually learn something. Keep in mind the “lead instructor” previously worked at Verizon and had no industry experience. This is where dreams go to die. You clock in everyday and have to stay on campus AND teach yourself everything and give them thousands of dollars. I graduated a day before my max graduation date, and due to extreme health issues I had to take a medical leave of absence to extend my graduation date. After graduating and receiving my diploma (that by the way had the wrong information on it)…I was informed two weeks after graduating that I had an outstanding balance for $1750 for “out of contract hours accrued.” Keep in mind this was never communicated to me during the process, and I didn’t learn of this until two weeks after graduating through a passive aggressive email telling me if I don’t pay $1750 they won’t release my transcripts. Due to the extremely unsanitary conditions of the school, lack of education, provided, complete negligence and zero communication I am giving a 1 star review. I would give zero if that were an option. An infant could run this place better, and I learned more from YouTube then I did from the 2013 textbook that took place of our “instructor.” Do not go here.

Whoever wrote bad reviews has either never been here or doesn’t want the best kept secret out! LOL 💅🏻 Lexi is a perfectionist who takes her time getting it right for clients. The same instructor checked on us multiple times, talk about continuity of care. 🥰 Students take minor corrections very well. From calling for an appointment to quality products to the final product, I cannot recommend NW highly enough. Just left and can’t wait to return. 💇🏻♀️

They did an awesome job with a huge task. Last year for a bet, I had to bleach and then dye my hair rainbow. They tackled it no problem, it came out great, and now my family doesnt like getting their hair done anywhere else.
I will say though, keep in mind these are students. Mistakes happen. And while I’ve been lucky, I have seen several other customers have issues with their stylist being unavailable or double booked.
