John and his team are amazing. The place is not fancy or brand new, but all of the tech are dedicated and take the time to do a good job in terms of quality and in terms of making sure you get the look you wanted. I usually do the deep powder with colored gel on top and they last 4 weeks without breaking, chipping or looking bad. I have tried several salons in different US cities and this is the only place that gives me these long lasting results. I usually get my pedi as well (regular polish or gel, depending on the season) and I’m usually in and out in 1.5h. Their prices are good too!

Oh my god you guys. I was having a nail emergency. In a fit of grace and coordination, I cracked my thumbnail diagonally across my nailbed on my flight over here. It was agonizing and I was heading into a huge week at work. I’m not from here so had to call around to find someone that was open and could help. NC Nails was super nice on the phone, gave me an appointment, and I went in later that evening. They were BUSY which is always a good sign. I got my toes done while I waited for the nail tech to be ready. I showed John what had happened, and he did a super informative consultation with me about how he could fix my nail, give me more strength so they wouldn’t break so easily, AND give me the look and design I wanted — all for a service that was less expensive than the one I’d come in requesting. He worked so meticulously and I’m so happy with the result I literally did an “I love my nails” dance once I got back to the hotel. If I lived here this would be my new go-to place. They really know what they’re doing, and the customer service is really top notch. Thank you, team!

I’m super picky with nail salons and have tried a few in north county, and John at NC’s nails is one of the best nail techs I’ve ever had. He always does beautiful designs for me and my nails last upwards of a month! He’s very patient with my requests and pays great attention to detail. Their prices are also lower than most salons in the area. I almost didn’t want to post this review because I want to gatekeep this place but they deserve a 5 star review!

I go here frequently and love everyone. They know me by name now and ask about my family. It’s really sweet! It’s also affordable which is a plus. I usually happen to have Ben, Linda, or John who all do a fabulous job. This past visit I went with a Halloween themed nail design by John. We both were thrilled with how the spider and floating ghost turned out. I am always happy with my results here!
Note: for no wait time make an appointment!

Mani Pedi Appt for two of us
Mom & Daughter for
Mother’s Day weekend
We had Mani Pedi Appt with Dip.
The DIP powder was unavailable.
The gel manicure was lumpy and uneven and already chipped off after 1 day; I asked for Dip Manicure.
And my natural nails were sanded down super thin with an uneven trim (I asked for squared nails…they were angled to the right and all different lengths).
The gel pedicure was uneven and poor polishing technique; it left such a big bubble on my great toe that the polish lifted off in the middle the next morning.
We tipped like everything was okay, but we won’t be back.
Friendly staff, but LOW quality work.
It’s not worth it; I will be paying another nail salon to redo.
Normally I get a
dip manicure every two weeks and
a gel pedicure every four weeks.
There is no way I can wait a month for my next pedicure.
