I was so excited to get my nails done here because the reviews were great and the nail art looked amazing. I looked online and it said $35 for a natural nail gel manicure. I had a specific design in mind so I brought a picture of what I wanted. I came in and everything was great. She started on my nails and I asked if I could have a different base coat color and she said it was too late. I wasn’t too bothered by this but my final result didn’t look anything like what I wanted. I was expecting much better nail art considering the overwhelming amount of good reviews about the nail art. They ended up charging $52 at the end which I was confused about since the website said $35. They said the extra money was for design and french tips. I was shocked because it didn’t say anywhere on the website that there would be an additional charge for any sort of design. I was hoping the design would look how I wanted it to considering that I was paying for it. The french tips were a little messy as well and the flowers were not what I wanted at all.
I really do wish that I had a good experience at this salon but unfortunately I did not. The pricing wasn’t accurate and my nails look nothing like what I wanted. I added the pictures of what I wanted vs. what I got.

My appointment was originally scheduled for 10am with Thomasyne. She wasn’t available due to a family emergency. I went in to ask if they still had availability. I wanted dip powder in one color-188. A woman took me when her seat opened. I do not know her name but I know she is David wife. When she moved to buff my nails I was kind of shocked because they looked bubbly and I showed her an inspo picture for shape. (Just a traditional square shake). I let her know they needed to be thinner. She told me that dip powder couldn’t be thinner. I let her know that the nails were ugly because they were and they needed to be shaped better because they weren’t acceptable for me esthetically. She was very upset and begin to speak in her language to which her husband came over and said that they just needed drilled more. She walked away and he started working on them. They did chat a little more in their language but honestly it never bothers me because I would speak my native language every time anywhere over another’s. I just know that she was upset and that was weird because mam please just do my nails right. David got the shape to a much better look. I was content. I did make a mental note that maybe I’d just to tips next time or do gel until my nails length grew out because they weren’t exactly the shape I desired but they were better. But then the top coat had issues. David did fix, redrilling the top coat off and reapplying it on a few nails but then he just moved to his chair to begin completing a service on another client. No clean up of the dried top coat and dip around my ends and edge, no cuticle oil, no hand massage. I was going to get a wax but decided I wasn’t. Then he told a staff member that my fee was $55. Dip powder is $45. For this same service last time I paid $45. I just paid it and asked about the product around my nails, on my skin. He told another guy to take care of it and he grabbed a cuticle cutter. I told them Im good and walked out.

I never not tip for services, unless I’m truly unhappy with them. But I feel he squeezed a tip in for himself by up-charging and left me without the experience or quality of service I would have expected. No apologies. No nothing. I’m going to go back tomorrow to get this fixed because 2 of the nails didn’t set right again. But I have things to do today. And think after that I’ll take my finances to an establishment with the considerations and quality I desire to experience for these services.

I’ve been going to Van Nails’s for a few years now and every time she does something new with my nails I like it more than the one before. In fact, I can’t decide, but I had to share this one as I think it’s one of the most beautiful ones I think she’s done, I would highly recommend Van Nails. I just wish I could add a video because sometimes these photos do not actually show the true beauty of the nails..

The salon was nice and clean. Bryan was very nice and made me feel welcome. One of the best pedicures I’ve had in a while and my nails turned out beautiful. Bryan did exactly what I asked for. It was my first time there and will definitely return.

Absolutely amazing. They were very nice and I got exactly what I asked for. I’ve been trying to grow out my nails for a while. When I asked that they allow me to keep the length on my fingernails they didn’t hesitate to say yes. Loved the pedicure.
