Just wanted to tell you about my wonderful experience yesterday. I was out and about on a Saturday afternoon in the Cotswold area and decided I needed a pedicure and manicure. I tried two other places before and they were packed, dirty, and just didn’t feel right.

Then I stumbled upon Modish Nail Spa at Plaza Midwood. I had never been there before, but I remembered visiting their Matthews location once. The receptionists were super friendly and when I asked about the wait time without an appointment, they said it would be around 45 minutes. But to my surprise, they got me seated with Kim, the technician, in just 10 minutes.

She did an amazing job with my nails and the place was so clean and had a great ambiance. Plus, they offered me a complimentary drink! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

First and foremost, this nail salon is LAVISH! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with greenery and the lavish atmosphere. It felt like I was stepping into a small oasis. My appointment was at 2 pm and I got there early and was seen immediately with no problems. The ONLY unfortunate part for me was that this establishment ran out of “Wine” cups so I was not able to order their holiday mimosa or any other wine which is a BIG bummer as I love to sip on wine when I’m getting my nails done. I feel like maybe they could have done better with making sure they didn’t run out as IT is part of the experience. I did end up getting a TRULY, but it just unfortunately did not hit like a glass of wine would have, but oh well. None the less, my Deluxe Pedicure from Kim was EVERYTHING! I never splurge on a fancy pedicure (always get the basic), so this was really some TLC for my feet. It was very soothing and calming and I definitely enjoyed it. It was exactly what I needed. I ended up getting SNS with manicure since I was already here. Kim was very gentle and efficient. Got my nails exactly how I wanted. I opted out for nail design as they do charge extra, but either way, I still liked the outcome. Now, this salon is on the pricier side. You are paying for the experience, ambiance, the variety of drinks they offer, and of course their efficiency. They do have another location in Matthew’s, but i was told it was by a different owner. I’m glad Yelp created a nice pampering event and loved it. Thanks again, Ashley, for your hard word and to Modish for hosting!
– a side note, they do have parking beside the building and behind, but if they are full, I believe their is side street parking and at harris Teeter. This is a big location with plenty of bar and pedicure seats, but of course, appointments ahead of time are recommended.

This was a fabulous experience. Mōdish is truly a luxury nail spa with affordable pricing. The place is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Everyone was friendly.

The receptionist greeted me with a smile and showed me to a chair and brought me a complimentary drink (soda). I was here for a Deluxe Pedicure and a no-polish manicure.

My nail-tech, Lena, was wonderful. She was gracious and gentle, and did an incredibly thorough job on my feet and hands. She was able to multitask very well.

All the products used appeared to be hypoallergenic and smelled lovely (herbal/citrus and gender neutral, not overpowering or flowery). The deluxe pedicure included massage, a warm soak with a bath bomb, and hot towels. They seem to carry every color OPI polish available.

I’m so happy with the service and will highly recommend Mōdish to family and friends.

This was an awesome experience. The spa was clean, yet nicely decorated for the holidays. The staff was professional but friendly.

I don’t usually do pedicures because I’m a bit germaphobic. Yet the spa reassured me that they have individually sanitized tools as well as foot bath liners.

While they do have parking, I would suggest coming early to your appointment as the parking lot filled up fast.

I would recommend this place to anyone in the area

I recently started getting my nails done again. I’m a serial nailbiter and have been for almost my whole life. My nails are in terrible shape. I went to a few salons in the neighborhood and they were pretty good. They recommended getting gel color. I finally decided to try Modish and so glad I did. They have a beautiful space and it’s very clean. They also have complementary drinks, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. When I showed her my nails, they said I should do the SNS powder which I’ve done before years ago. They said it would be better for my fragile nails. They are definitely more expensive than the others, but so worth the price. Jenny did my nails and she was very meticulous and did an amazing job. I will definitely continue to go to Modish.
