I have been visiting MiniLuxe Seaport for all my (not too frequent) nail services for the past year or so.
On the plus side, I’ve found that the polish is always long-lasting with the performance polish and neatly done.
However, it can be hit or miss depending on which technician you choose. I’d suggest getting the master technician and/or getting a recommendation and then sticking with a technician you like!
One technician from a few months ago didn’t trim my toenails very well on the sides and left an ingrown portion in after starting my appointment 15 min late when I was on a tight schedule between work meetings.
My visit this evening with a male technician was also sub-par in that the clippers pinched the skin under my big toe not once but twice (ouch!). He then proceeded to apologize profusely and tell me I have abnormal skin under my toes (this is the first time I’ve been clipped, didn’t need to hear the excuses). The massage was more of a rushed slather and not a relaxing rub.
On the other hand, I have also had some outstanding technicians here so it’s very dependent on whom you get. I also commend the front desk for offering me a free premium upgrade to compensate for the slip ups today. All in all, I will be coming back to select technicians, but I would like to see more consistent service across all staff for the price point.

Overpriced for services rendered. I was visiting Boston on business and stopped in to get a gel (extension) manicure. It ended up being a 3 hour appointment. I had 3 nails fall off within 3 days. I called in and spoke to assistant manager who recommended I email the manager. I wrote the manager an email expressing my disappointment. I did not get a response back from anyone concerning my complaint. I’ve had several manicures and in other big cities. At $150+ for a manicure, that holds a certain expectation. They did not meet that expectation and their customer service after the fact was non-existent. Very unfortunate.

The salon is gorgeous and all of the staff was very friendly! Barsha gave me a beautiful & relaxing manicure. She was able to do the design I requested and it turned out amazing!

My service was okay. Nail tech buffed one of my nails to fix a bump at the end and left it, without applying a top coat to add back the shine. I was also left with some polish on my cuticle on a finger. I was already there for over an hour so I didn’t even bother saying anything to the nail tech, because I had to go. I expected my nails to be done well, given the time and cost without having to intervene. This was my first not so great experience with mini-luxe. It seems the consistency with nail techs can be hit or miss. You would be better off booking with a nail tech you had a great experience with or looking at reviews and choosing a nail tech that has great reviews.

The quality of the technicians are hit or miss. I’ve had good pedicures here in the past. My most recent one was not so great. I got a classic pedicure with performance polish (45 min) with a callus treatment (+5 min) and extended massage (+10 min) as add-ons. I was in the seat 5 minutes after my start time and ended 5 minutes before the hour, so I was shorted by 10 minutes. I arrived ~10 minutes prior.

Worse, the technician shaped my nails poorly. They weren’t this crooked and misshapen when I arrived (especially the big toes), but they were when I exited. With the performance polish, you only do one base coat; she did two. My nails are small and I noticed she used a rather large brush to clean up and was impressed by her ability. However, when I looked closely later, I realized the polish is considerably far from my cuticles at the base.

I second the advice to find a good technician and stick with them. I also probably wouldn’t bother with the add-ons since I wasn’t given the time I paid for and it was $25 extra. I just never had something happen like this before.
