Although the experience was nice, and the staff were pleasant, the outcome of my nails are a disaster! I wanted natural looking nails, my acrylic is bulky and all my nails look different.and I was told my nails would be $60 or $65 but when it was time to pay they mad me pay $75. And For $75 for a basic gel full set, that’s ridiculous, the work should have been flawless!!! I shouldn’t have left this place unsatisfied. My first and last time. The person who originally was going to do my nails, allowed another nail tech to do mine and they look horrible. I was almost in tears because all
Together I spent $180 in there, the charm on my daughter’s nail, came off that same day. I didn’t get the chance to get her name but she didn’t do a good job on my nails what so ever and I’m very particular and was referred to this place and I must say I’m highly disappointed. I asked for sharp square shape, natural looking nails and I’m not sure what she did but this isn’t it. My nails look bulky and curved on the corners. I do not recommend.

I recently visited Nick for a full acrylic set with gel polish and couldn’t be happier. For years I’ve been looking for a nail salon in DC that is attentive to my demands as a customer—Mimosa Salon at DuPont Circle did not disappoint. My appointment started promptly, I enjoyed a mimosa during service, and Nick was patient and professional. My pedicure was good too.
Nicky was also a treat to work with. She runs a tight shop and is accommodating.

I cannot believe how bad this turned out. I asked for a very simple design, and tried to get assistance from the manager Nikki to prevent disaster, but nothing prepared me for this. Jenny did such a horrible job. I offered suggestions to Jenny and sought help from Nikki as things we going south but my efforts were wasted. If they were unable to do this design, they should have said that from the beginning. Could not believe I was still asked to pay for this. The outcome is embarrassing and I have to get these re-done somewhere else ASAP.

Mimosa is the best! They take fantastic care of you here! You can expect a warm greeting from Nicky upon arrival, followed by excellent service by any of the many friendly, talented nail techs in the salon. Chanel is my personal favorite! There is never a long wait, and tons of colors and service options! I’ll never go anywhere else.

Great but often crowded. Make sure to come – if you can early morning during the week. Nicky and Chanel are the best- always kind, flexible, and never flustered. I’ve been coming for over a decade.
