Customer Says:
I am disappointed. I paid 80 for simple ombre acrylics with a sheer shimmer. They started lifting the next 2 days and I have not been doing anything but computer work. I am embarrassed to have these nails on, looking like Im wearing press ons. Although online booking stated $60 for gel ombre, dude said he could do ombre acrylic only. Online booking said acryllic was less expensive, so I accepted.
First off, he didn’t push back my cuticles, and quickly buffed the nail but not all. Glued the tips in a flash, I was worried they’d be on crooked, then I thought maybe he was just extremely experienced based on reviews and let the “pro” handle it.. but… my cuticles!
Other salons would make sure to blend my real nail with the tip. He didn’t do that, it’s a pet peeve to look at this. He cut up 3 fingers by the cuticle area with his machine filer thing when filing down the acrylic. He was working so fast, it was annoying but I trusted he knew what he was doing. Plus I placed my trust after seeing pictures of his work.
The nails were looking great tho and I was happy. When it was time to cure the top coat, I felt a finger bump into something as I couldn’t see since my hands were on his side behind an arm stand. And I tried looking and he said to put my nail under the lamp, I did. And mentioned the bump thinking he’d fix it, he tried by applying more top coat? I told him again that it looks dented, and he tried fixing it, I said to just put a jewel on top and call it good but he didn’t. I just gave up at that point because he wasn’t even trying to talk to me. I just thought positively… “They look good overall, that’s all that matters.”
Then get slapped with a $105 bill, $25 was for the Mani. I did leave a $10 tip on top of that too.
As for my friend, it was their first time getting a mani. That Mani was done in under 10 min including soak time and arm “massage”. Super rushed, she was done and put her tools away and walked away. When I checked their nails, they weren’t filed nicely, still seeing a squiggly edge. I was embarrassed that I even brought them with me. I could’ve done that for them for free!
What do I do? Also, I can’t find how to upload pics on here.
