I was a longtime customer of Lua before it moved to this location. I missed an appointment (after the move) and was sent an invoice for 100% of the bill. I called to see if anytime could be done to lower the bill and was told “no this is the no show policy”. I paid the bill in full. I was then charged 50% for one of those same services I did not receive but had asked to be rescheduled, for late rescheduling (1 day before the appointment). After complaining I received a refund on that. I have never been to a place that charges 100% no show regardless of the circumstances so was very upset. Recently I tried to book service online after a few months since this incident and I am blocked from booking service. This is fine but I just have to update my rating to reflect my experience. I also don’t like that they use leather mats only for waxing which can get cold and uncomfortable in the winter when you first lay down.

Response to Lua: I called the same day I missed the service and was told nothing could be done and then I paid the invoice in full on the same day it was sent. You chose to refund me for the appointment I asked to be rescheduled that wasn’t rescheduled then still blocked me from booking services online. I texted (the same number I got a response from every time prior to the incident) after I realized I could no longer book services, thanking the company for changing the policy and asking them why I could no longer book online. I got no response. I went as far as stating I’m a business owner as well so will pay the invoice in full to be understanding of policy. No one contacted me directly that the no show policy was changed after I voiced my opinion, a general email list email was sent out and I happened to come across it. At the end of the day I was not valued as a customer so have moved on. The cold response I received when I first called about the policy was enough for me to move it. The new location is absolutely beautiful and I have no problem with it. I’m my review I was simply stating that I was a customer before the move. Best of luck. My patronage may not make a difference but just like the policy was changed I hope you try to work with your customers before blocking them from booking services without telling them or caring. I will continue to look for estheticians who are understanding of the need for flexible as I have 3 young kids and am a military spouse who travels a lot.

Maddie was excellent! Constantly checking to make sure I was doing ok during Brazilian Wax . I don’t recommend paying extra for the comfort cream it still hurt badly.
