Customer Reviews:
Last Monday I came in for a pedicure. The lady that started working on me noticed on my left foot on my big toe, I had an ingrown toenail. She asked if she could remove it. I told her no thank you and I already had a doctor’s appointment to have it fixed when I got back from vacation. I told her to ONLY trim it down a bit and to do anything on the outside of the toe and not to clean the inside. She said okay and started to remove my polish. I sat back and started reading my book. Next thing I know she has trimmed the toe nail and has taken a pointed metal instrument and is trying to get my ingrown toenail out. It was horrible pain, so much so I pulled my foot away. The toe bled some too. The rest of my pedicure I was on edge the whole time and had to constantly watch her, I had came to relax and to feel pampered. I had also requested straight, white lines pained across my large toes. Who ever painted them did them in a hurry, the lines are definitely not straight and it should have had a double coat. I understand they would not be perfectly straight but at least not like this. It was definitely not worth the extra $5. It was horrible.
I now have a really bad infection in my big toe. So bad I had to go to my doctor today because it hurts badly and it has been ozzing. I asked my doctor if it was from my ingrown toe nail or from the cut from the tool. She informed me that my ingrown toenail was just a level 1 and that no one at a nail salon should be removing ingrown toenails. You must be a licensed doctor! So now I am on antibiotics and had to reschedule my ingrown toe nail appointment. Plus I’m walking around with horrible painted toes.
Please inform your nail technicians that they have to be a doctor to remove ingrown toenails. It is dangerous and unhygienic to do this in a nail salon. I don’t understand what happened and why I was not listened to or treated with respect.
