Emma was a great nail tech! She removed the acrylic hard gel I had and gave me a new gel manicure set. I had an appointment to go to at 11:30am and she finished my set in 45 minutes just in time for my tour! She was intricate in doing my nails and I appreciated that! She also took her time and I didn’t feel like it was rushed!

Let me say this first- Brie did great and my nails look good so far. So the quality of the job is no issue, at least with her!

When I arrived, the first person to great me shook her head like she was upset that I came early. Totally fine, I would’ve sat and waited or waited outside if it was a big issue. I ended up waiting until around 10:15am, which, again is fine. I now this traffic can be crazy sometimes. It was definitely not a super welcoming environment, but every establishment is different.

My biggest concern is what is expected versus what is communicated. I booked an acrylic, regular polish full set, which was $45. However, the receipt said $75. No issue paying what is necessary, but kinda left a bad taste in my mouth that the price was THAT drastic of a difference and no communication from anyone prior to checking out as to why.

Worth noting, I was able to use Apple Pay and tip with Venmo. Since this was my first experience here in Boston (recently moved here) I likely won’t go back based solely off of that. However, I do recommend Brie, should you go here, since the job was done well.

I want to love this place because some of the workers are so nice but I’m just incredibly sad I paid $5 to fix two chipped fingernails that broke only 3 days after the manicure. A mere six hours after the $5 fix, they chipped again. Secondly, these nails were painted so far away from the cuticles, and I had to ask for lotion at the end unfortunately ):

went to remove gel X and get new gel nails, everything was great until the end. the nail tech forced me to pay in cash, I didn’t have enough and she made me use the ATM. I told her I didn’t want to pay the extra withdrawal fees ($4 btw) and wanted to pay in card but continued to push me to pay in cash. Also whatever top coat was used did not do the job. As soon as I got to the T nearby and looked at my nails, they’re already smudging.
If you don’t accept card, make it clear on your website and in store. You only had a note saying anything $20 and below is cash and mine was $50.
