This review is for the salon. I called 30 minutes before my appointment and specified that I need a DRY haircut and NOT a master stylist. I was told an express cut is $22. Just a plain old haircut, my hair was perfectly washed and straightened. The stylist sprayed my whole hair down, didn’t bother to straighten it after doing so. I just got a trim and it wasn’t even a good one. I was then charged $40 plus a tip. This is not the first time this has happened to me here. I will never come back here again.

The beauticians do not listen to what customers want. They cut hair much shorter than necessary, insist on making people have a wash and blow dry, and act like patrons don’t have any sense of style. Also, if you show them a picture of what you want …you’ll be very disappointed with the results.
Found out they do not honor their own coupons but do take walkins.
I am not the only one that has given them a try recently and ended up very disappointed with hair results.
I got a better cut at a much cheaper price somewhere else. This time all I wanted is to have is my hair a little layered, especially in the back. This did not happen. They chopped my hair off which took months to grow.
Also, front desk staff act like they do not see you standing there (tunnel vision).
I was and am very disappointed.

My much-admired cut has been receiving rave reviews for many years. I appreciate Parnell’s care and courtesy. He’s wonderful. The salon has gone through many changes in these recent years, due to the slump for the overall brand. The long-term staff have stepped up to keep this salon running smoothly, and keep their services available for us. I appreciate them all so much!!

I went in for a TRIM. My hair was past my chest and I specified how much I wanted cut. Although the woman who performed my haircut was professional, she gave me a horrific cut. Not only did she cut 2+ inches off for my trim, she actually chopped my hair without touching my layers. It is blocky and choppy. My undercut and fringe are also uneven. I am DEVASTATED. I am getting graduation pictures taken and have been growing my hair out and now I’ll have short, ugly chopped hair. Hopefully another salon can fix what was done here. If you’re thinking “hey this is a cheap price for a trim/cut, I’ll go here,” think again. I now have to spend $40-50 plus what I paid here to have a haircut that looks horrible that I hate. Save yourself.

Update 06/12/21: I went to another salon for them to assess my hair and they were appalled by the blocky haircut I received and the uneven length and layers. Thankfully they went through it and fixed it, but I have yet to hear anything from JCP. I deserve my money back for what happened to me. This is not okay.
