Recently started seeing Lauren and know that I have found my new hair girl! She’s absolutely fantastic and is honest with recommendations on what will look good on you. Showed her pictures of what I was thinking and she nailed it!

Their hair color/styling experience and knowledge are outstanding. I also recommend getting a tan while you are there, I am super pale and I find it difficult to get a natural looking tan, however at Salon J-Elle it is always perfect and super natural looking. Lauren Golden is by far one of the most experienced and talented owner/lead stylist I have ever met. Marcy Schaffer perfected her already existing talents while training under Lauren and now she is thriving with her own guests, myself included. I travel from Baton Rouge just for the experience and perfection these two have to offer. LOVE LOVE Salon J-Elle.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Lauren for over eighteen years. Every time I see her she goes out of her way to make sure I’m well taken care of. Whether it’s the massage chairs while I get my hair shampooed, the way she seems to effortlessly run the entire salon with calm statements, or the way she makes sure to treat everyone like her best friend – you realize there’s a reason why her salon has been successful and people keep coming back. I’ll be seeing her for another 18 years for sure.

So i will give you a little background. My hair is not in the best of shape as its colored regularly and was highlighted numerous times. I wouldnt say my hair is damaged but definitely has split ends amd dryness on the last 4 inches or so. I originally went to Lynda’s salon because i wanted to have my hair done prior to my birthday and that place was recommended to me by a friend. I walked in and see mostly older clientele with short, easy to deal with hair. I meet Irene and immediately she doesnt look happy. I sit in her chair and at first we discuss price and everything is going as planned. Then i say i need a toner and she said they dont do toners and she says i would need to cut off 6 or so inches before she would highlight my hair and said i wouldn’t be happy. She said i cant help you and i left…… I googled salons near the area and found j elle. Lauren answered the phone and i told her im interested in bayalage/highlights and she said stop by to assess my hair. I did. I was met by Marci, who is a doll, and told me what days shes available. Never once did i get the sense of being pushed out or that my hair couldnt take the bleach. My appt was scheduled today and i am so pleased. My hair looks and feels amazing. She did such an amazing job..the process took 4 hours and she wasnt one of those stylists that uses higher volume to speed up the bleaching process…. I had no breakage and she was so gentle with my brushing and blow drying. I am so happy and am glad i got turned away by the other place. SALON J-ELLE is my forever salon.

Because we are from the MD/PA area I was worried about finding a salon for 4 of us to get hair and makeup for my son’s wedding in LA.. after a lot of research we picked Salon J-Elle and kept our fingers crossed. We were amazed at the level of care and professionalism there!! Lauren and Sierra did an amazing job from start to finish. Every step of the way, we were number 1!! We couldn’t have been happier with the results which lasted all night through the dancing and rain!! This is the place to go for hair and makeup. Thank you Salon J-Elle.
